As title really, I'm thinking of switching, they're cheaper... but price isn't everything.

What are your experiences of them?

Any comments gratefully received

EDIT: I should point out that I've done some research online and the results are quite promising, but I thought I'd get some "real" peoples opinions as well :)

hi mattyh been with edf for 4.1/2 years now no probs at moment got both gas and electic so works out a lot cheaper in the long run saved 254pd a year hope this helps

we deal with them for Businesses, not domestic stuff. The best thing about them is that the Customer service side is reasonably good. Having said that it's not difficult to be the best of a pretty poor lot.

If it's cost you're looking for the cheapest tends to be British Gas but goes along side abysmal service. Eon and Telecom Plus are pretty competitive as well, there won't be a lot in it. Eon's service is pretty good under the eon brand, never dealt with Telecomplus but by all accounts it's pretty decent.

Edit: I'm assuming you're speaking about electricity. If it's gas the picture changes a bit :)

Have a look at Utility Warehouse ( was telecom plus a long time ago)and compare their prices.
Eon good hah a joke.

They are currently taking us to court because they owe us money

You might be surprised how often that happens with suppliers  We've got a dedicated account manager, she's excellent :D

Thanks for the thoughts, we're looking for boh... I refuse to use british gas, ever since they sent me a final bill for £2.38, I paid it then they sent me a 2nd final bill for £14 :bonk:

Obviously i told them to stick it where the sun don't shine, it got to debt collectors before I showed them the final bill and threatened to sue them for costs & aggrevation if they didn't crawl under a rock and die

Might have a look @ Eon as well in that case

I think I've entered the twiglet zone :bonk: BG are consistently amongst the most expensive.

If you want CHEAP then look at the so-called 'internet' tariffs. You sign up online, you receive online or email bills and you pay online or by DDR. But forget about service. For more conventional tariffs - read on...

Be aware that a supplier that appears cheap today may not be (probably won't be) offering such good value in 3/6/9 months. There's only one that I know of that gives consistently good value being the cheapest or thereabouts at all times. Their UK call centre answers over 90% of incoming calls within 15 seconds which is staggering for a utility company. Oh, and if you want, they can also give you free phone calls.

But I can't say who it is or I'd be pimping ;)

:lol::lol::suspect::lol::lol:

Nope, check BG Click energy 5. Depending on which site you choose it will either compare cheapest or next cheapest. I know it's an internet account but that's not always bad. We've plenty big industrial customers working on internet accounts, it depends which supplier it is. Looking at the actual rates they are pretty good, the key thing is the number of units you use. I wouldn't go for that BG just because of how bad we find their service when things do go wrong.

But I don't need to tell you that, and you are pimping ;)

With E-on, cheapish and you get clubcard points! Was with British Gas but they were expensive hopeless numties.

 Can you PM me who it is?

Otherwise, you're very helpful post, isn't

I don't work for them and mentioned the name in an earlier post................
