Ecnivs 52 Week (attempts)...

..... then die
I'll keep the life I have, it's a little longer and has more chomping!

neil...you forgot... have numerous photographs taken of you by macro togs...then die ..

BUT..could be worse... could be a moth...and die in a terrible ball of fire when you stray too close to naked :naughty: flames .... and your deodorant catches alight??? :suspect:

...also want to add... 'Beams' image... awesome... love 'light through window pane' .. for me..well exposed...

Hiya Vince,

Have to say I like the light beams one too ... even though you added the beams in pp.

The light flares on the first is good too ... but looks more like a snap shot to me.

Rescue .... :nono: ... no help here ... come on I know you can get a shot for this one

Okay will wait for the sensual shot ... hope you find your statue soon.

With elaborate at just looking at the pic I was a bit confused ... but then read what you said about the chrome, engine etc and I suppose that would fit elaborate.

Well done so far and look forward to seeing the missing pics soon.

Cheers

Dawn :)

Hey Vince, prefer the chucrh window photo for bright. Good look in finding something for the other themes.
As for elaborate, I really like it! Mustangs are awesome cars and elaborate for me. Have you done tilt shift processing on this?

@drodd

Will try to find things that fit... hopefully :D

@michael
Nope. Just duplicate the base layer. Gaussian blur (10-30). Add a mask.
Graduate fill from edge/top of bonnet.
Paint in the rest on the mask to sharpen the car. Then repaint back through the window.

Only did this 'cause the background is distracting, also punchs the car to the front.

You could layer a second blur and mask to fade more instead of instant blur...

Just happened to have processed the pics last night - more to go on flickr for the lichfield cars in the park... including experimenting with welding glass :D

hope to process those tonight. Elaborate.. well saw the theme for the first time last night, thought this loosely fell into it. Can always add another at a later date :D

Week 25 - Rescue

:help:

Hope the pun was intended...;)

Bright, I'll go for #2. #1 is just too,, bright in the top right. I like the lens flare as it really emphasis the bright theme. Cathedral is wonky.

#2, I wouldn't have know the light was added in post. I like it. I'd have liked a tad off the bottom and a tad adding to the let, though.

Elaborate chrome engine, possibly, but I can hardly see it....get closer...

The PP blur's not to my taste, looks too artificial. Better to have got it in camera.

Hi Vince

loving that shot of the car , great subject & processing , lovely colors:thumbs:

The light coming through the church windows is stunning...even if added in pp:clap:

Thanks... yeah weather was not good on friday.

As to sign I can see your point buuuuuut :D I think the sculpture isn't as great from that angle.

Was tempted to put the sphere in sphere statue in, but it doesn't say anything about the college on it so... Thin link at best - perhaps I will find a better one soon :D

Blur, that's an idea I was after. I like it.

Colour cast is a slight issue. Not an easy one to frame, I suspect: top of nelson is missing and the balcony on the left are slightly distracting.

Cheers and good luck with the catch up...

Thanks.

Blind framing, but was just playing with the welding glass. Rested camera on the balcony (rhs). Feels good taking these pics tho!

Green cast was very heavy - almost considered changing to BnW. :D

Will be some more pics soon.

Thanks. Thats at 11 mm, couldn't go wider (although the 10-20 might get it in?) If I stepped back there'd be more balcony I was resting on.

Maybe next time :D (will remember)

Did you try setting a custom white balance to sort out the colour cast in camera - or in post?

As for clipping the head, I would have gone wider (or zoomed with my feet) - then cropped or cloned the balcony in PP. However that may not be how you "work", if you prefer to do it all in camera.

Good effort though - I really fancy doing a self portrait standing still whilst the crowd flows around you, but I'm a bit wary of leaving my camera unattended. :D

All in post as some seem to come out in nearly normal colours... others have a cast. Seems those shot towards the sun cast in green...

you'll need to arrange a meet with other toggers, they can cluster around your camera / tripod discussing stuff whilst you pose for 30s/1 min without wobbling/moving... :D Assuming we see sun again fairly soon lol :)

Oh I would have moved back - but I hadn't lugged my tripod with me - so the balcony was it for a non moving place higher enough to get in most of the scene I wanted :)
