Just taken delivery of this solution. Now I want to clean my lens contacts on the lens itself and camera. Would it be ok to use a cotton bud, or something better for the job?
 
No never ever use a cotton bud get proper cleaning swab . Cotton buds leave strands everywhere.

this is what to get look at the green stick with the round end.

Hello! We're talking about lens contacts here. Those are them brass-looking metal things. You know, the things that are designed to rub against other brass-looking metal contacts several thousand times. You could clean them with steel wool, indeed, steel wool would probably do a better job of ensuring a proper electrical contact than gently wafting a Pec Pad over the contacts.

None of the fibres that drop off the cotton buds or wire wool :eek:
would work futher into the camera and onto the sensor of course.:suspect:

I think a little (or great) confusion has been caused by the fact that you're wanting to use a lens (glass)/CCD cleaning solution on metal or metal coated contacts. It may well work (I hope it does) but it's an expensive choice when there are other cleaners would do the job.
