anyone on here running an ebay shop, looking at setting one up for mothers shop and wondering if any tips from the top are available

or just a heads up on potential pitfalls

vintage clothes btw

i currently run 2 for my parents and been doing this for a few years now so fire any questions i will try to help as much as i can

the only pitfalls are ebay and pay pal fee's lol

one thing we have stuck to and it does work is you dont always have to be the cheapest
alot of people would rather see the guy in the middle so dont undercut yourself

ebay is pretty simple once you know how to get round it

exellent, I was half way through the forms last night and realised I'd need a code from the email, so I'm gonna have to do it again today while on the phone :D

(my sis has her work lappy at home and theres no webmail on the account)

Make sure you get some sort of contact details in there so people can get in touch outside e-bay. I know I'm not the only person who wouldn't use e-bay but I'm happy to deal with companies that use it, just not through it.

we're a real shop ;)

but ebay seems like a straightforward way of hosting stuff for sale online

our site has a number and stuff so we can reserve by phone, but if a phone card is fraudulent we are liable for the money back up to like 6 months after so don't really wanna go down that route
