My 400D is on eBay, auction ending at 8:30 (20mins!). It has a few extras with it and it doing quite well at £256 however about 15mins ago the price jumped up to £510!! I knew exactly what was going on as its not worth anywhere near that. I rang my better helf and started ranting about these bloody scammers then i refreshed the page and it went back down to a sensible price, obviously eBay have cottoned onto it.

I HATE SCAMMERS!!! :bang:

Anyway I should be gettng my 40D soon now :woot:

*******s, ruined it in the end. Fingers crossed the next highest bidder accepts the second chance offer. NOT HAPPY!

You can make a second chance offer. The downside to that is that the person you offer to could think that you deliberately bid on your item to increase the price and so refuse to take the offer up.

Phew, 2nd chance offer accepted. 40D here I come! :D

Sorry mods for the swearing :bonk:

So what happened then?

Sorry for being a bit dim!! lol

Sounds like a "person living in a warm country and who likes to pay by western union" put a snipe in and won the camera, so Jambo_84 had to offer it to the under bidder who was genuine and has bought it.

yeh thats right, luckily the 2nd chance offer was accepted. the 40D comes in the morning!

really gotta watch out for these scammers, its a tough one to police i know buy ebay should really be doing more to protect people in my opinion

thats bad news ashers, one day they will get their comeuppance!

no it was a ps3 but sony wouldnt fix it because the casing had shattered but the the thingie was only for faults not for damage.

however they got a new way of doing that scam. they put that its a real ps3, then they change it just before the last time they can to it saying its a photo of. i reported a guy for doing that and it got taken down

That's ****in' shocking Ashers.

I don't think the OP's problem was a scam, just an example of some idiot with too much time of their ground-scraping hands.
