I am talking about shill bidding. The item and service is A1 but one of the bidders is the seller on a fake account created on a mobile phone network that ebay cannot link to the seller.
They cannot push you above your maximum bid. In any auction - bricks and mortar auctions as well as on line - you should start knowing your maximum bid and never go one penny over it. If you are happy with that pre-determined maximum before you bid at all, you will be happy with what you pay. How you get there does not really matter.
