Pretty handy really. Although I did look quite a specimen collecting twelve tyres and four wheels from Argos. I must say it's not the usual buy from there

I've seen that in the past, but wasn't quite how it worked so I've never used it.

And buyin rubber from Argos may well have gotten you a few strange looks

Same here. Don't have a clue either but sure is handy. A lot of couriers won't go to my house because their vans can't make it up the track so argos is a handy drop off point for me.

Worked fine for me. I read somewhere that proper sellers have to list some sort of free delivery but it still gets posted with UKmail. I think there's a question mark beside the click and collect option on ebay. Can't see just now because I'm out with my phone but ill have a look into it.

I wonder if argos gets a cut out of delivery costs.

Must be something in it for them or they wouldn't touch it with a bargepole, especially if packages get damaged!

I can see Argos stockrooms being swamped with tat. I guess they're hoping that the collectors of said tat will buy their own brand whilst there?

Not sure one extra charges etc, but I'd imagine all they have to do is change the delivery address. Would be interesting to find out. I was in a hurry so conversation with the staff wasn't on my mind.

It works the other way too, we bought a 'refurbished' iphone and collected it from Argos and it looked like it had been the victim of a blender accident (the packaging was undamaged so not Argos' fault in any way).

We contacted the seller who agreed to take it back and issue a refund, and we just took it back into Argos and they sorted out the return at no cost to us.

Having never tried it before I just went to the customer service desk. They soon found my items straight away, but then I suppose 12 tyres and some wheels isn't something they could miss lol.

It was one woman who dealt with them and she wouldn't let me behind the counter to help lol

Great service, used it about 50 times, ideal for when youre out at work and cant guarantee anyone will be at home
