Great little link there CT. My bother and I have done a bit of investing in number plates in the past(mostly when stock market and interest rates were poor). It really started of as fun but some good money can be made.

My brother Mark attended an auction where S1 NGH went for over 40K.

If anyone is interested we have 45J and 25WG still for sale.

Wtf! Why would you ever spend money like that on a number plate?:cuckoo: I tend just to think *insert rude work here* when I see people with personalised number plates. Its like its some sort of penis extension or something. Or maybe I just don't get it because I don't like cars. :shrug:
 
I hope the guy who wins it loses his job 1 week later, and has to get the number plate 'CL34N3R'

Crazy bonuses!!! - when your bonus can pay off a mortgage what else do you spend your cash on. I feel sorry for them - all that cash and no imagination :nuts:
 
the real sad cases are the ones who try and alter their number plates to look like a vague word or name.

if you drive anything like as bad as me then you want to stay anonymous not have your name on your plate :)
 
There are some good ones around though.... ignoring the ins and outs and pretentiousness of personal plates. I saw a good one the other day W16GLY.... :clap:
 
I've got a personal plate on my car, all I had to do was change my name to X123 WVT ..............

The interesting thing is ... he (?) is showing the plate on a Bentley (RR ?) AND an E Type in his leader link ... :thinking: :suspect:

I had to pont out to some bloke in the petrol station the other day that his original plate was worth a packet....it was 'ceo 4 usa'

He had no idea til I pointed it out to him!
