No
I needed an extra battery for my sony camera and couldnt afford a sony one so purchased a look alike one from ebay. Only thing is its had about 5 charges and now it wont go more then 2%! am i just unlucky or is it because its just a cheap rip off?

Try and send them back see if the seller will change them or refund you

But depends on who you bought from

It could be just a duff one and you got it unfortunately or they could all be rubbish put a link me the battery so people can see

a cheap rip off?

:agree:

some batteries on Ebay are not worth a quid, but, there are some decent alternatives out there, Hanhel and Sterlingtek spring to mind. Me personally, I would use OEM batteries for my camera, just in case something drastic happens.

i think you have been unlucky.

I would agree, I have bought 4 spare 40D batteries off the Bay and all are great and have never failed me. Also bout cable release, filter adaptors, filter rings, all at considerable discounts from brand names without any problem.

Have you contacted the seller? Or raised a dispute, it should be easily sorted.

i just count myself unlucky then. probably not worth a disputre as it was from china or hong kong. Have bought filters etc but never had a prob. will maybe try again

Raise the dispute, it wont cost you anything, if its a chinese company in all likelyhood they wont even respond and you will get your money back.
