Easter Eggs

Weston-Super-Mud at the moment (lowish tide!) but it's on the way in. Likely to be as child infested as everywhere else too. Ground bait catapults can be pressed into service as launchers for more lethal less innocent projectiles, although a handful of maggots would be as satisfying as a well aimed mini egg, especially if the source could be concealed before it was obvious...

W-S-M.... well behind me. I stopped and got a reasonable parking space. Felt like I had landed on the set of Shaun of the Dead. Decided on a snatched meal.....Burger King - it was proof that the living dead do walk amongst us......

I went on to Watchet and from there to the hills above the M5 near Wellington. Now watching the rain with a tea from my flask..... Overall, a good day and, weather aside, I enjoyed the sun (when it shone), some of the sites, and the sights ☺, and am,finally, feeling a resurgence of my photography mojo. All this without a single chocolate egg.....

Well it would have been helpful to Pooh if they were all labelled as Easter Eggs.

Never even heard of a `Freakshake` until last week.
First I've seen of them, TBH it looks like something a 5 year old would throw together, when mummy's not watching :D

It does, I agree, but these were actually mentioned on daytime TV (semi-promoting them)

Apparently folk/adults have been queueing for over an hour to get them! o_O

It'll no doubt be another fast growing trend, which will be a real help to society.

God knows how many calories they contain. There will no doubt be a war on creating bigger & sweeter varieties, too. (n)

I'm sure there is only a tea spoon of sugar in there it'll be fine :D

( and no, I have no desire to try one either)

I tend to stay away from choccy and Ice Cream (I am a Type 1 diabetic after all) but I find it impossible to deny myself a viit to the "Storm in a Teacup Dessert Parlour" Which is a wooden shack on the edge of Skerries Harbour, Fingal which is north of Dublin.

It may not look much but the ice cream is superb and the add ons and toppings are bewildering. Yes I did a fruit ice with liquorice allsorts and cream and..... many many more over the years!

Awesome place and for photographers the run oup of the city taking in the seascapes of Howth Head, Howth Harbour, Portmarnock, Malahide, Donabate, Rush, Skerries and nort into Antrim for the Giants Causeway and onwards can be a great couple of days. The Bushmills Distillery is a must do too.

I will now chew on a carrot as penance....

Edit... yes my granchildren are why I go there... honest

Its got half a banana in it, that cancels out the rest, right? :D

And still no!

You can swap the banana for a stick of rock & an extra dollop of double cream + sprinkles though. :D

Go on! ;)

Sugar tends to be refined from either a grass (cane) or a fat stem (beet), both of which are plants. Chocolate (as in cocoa) is made from seeds, again from plants. That makes a double handful of chocolate 2 of your 5 a day!

Hmmm - your definition works for me.... but only with Lindt 81% ☺

This thread inspired me to take a look.

Hmmm, this is the loot of my youngest following the egg hunt.

Can't say I can Easter mentioned anywhere. Then again I can't remember whether they had it on last year either. Like with many stories, some truth to it, but then conclusions drawn to suit parties pro or against to explain the reasons.

Well as Cadbury themselves have been replying to every muppet that says there is no mention of Easter, "Hello, we haven't removed the word 'Easter' from our products, it's on the back.".

Maybe if people actually looked properly, then we'd not be subjected to such b*****ks.

FWIW, I was told that any chocolate over 70% was OK (in moderation!) for diabetics.

Yep

That said, I want to keep the choccy pangs at bay.... a small bit of 81% is like a shot of super concentrated Guinness in a shot glass that is basically the same as 5 pints in one go!

I really cannot understand anyone eating Cadburys (nee Kraft) 19% Vegelate.
