No
If you are looking for Easter eggs Tesco had them on the shelves today! WTF!

Co-op had hot cross buns in last week.....

FFS:rolleyes:

When are xmas puds back on the shelves?

Bought some Cadburys creme eggs at the weekend at Asda... :D

Co-op has the easter eggs out in my village, it shouldn't be called Easter, it should be 'Eager' as the shops really want to rope in the profits.

Didn't see any Easter eggs in Tesco at 7 this morning, but then I wasn't looking. Hot cross buns and Cadbury's crème eggs are on sale all year round, they just put more of them out on the run up to Easter.

Usually the beginning of September (I work in a supermarket bakery). I'm sick of the sight of mince pies by the end of October

Hot cross buns always go on sale on New Year's Day in our store.
Just because they are on sale doesn't mean you have to buy them ;)

Actually I never quite understood,
Pressies at Christmas yes, as that's what the 3 wise men bought,
And obvioulsy pressies at birthdays (if not a little belated)
But what eggsactly (cue puns & yokes ) does chocolate have to do with nailing someone to a cross?
Or eggs for that matter?

Eggs represent rebirth and (I think) predate easter as a spring celebration. As for the chocolate element, it's just so easy to mould into whatever shape you want it to be (and in the old days, the eggs used to contain the goodies until they decided that they could vastly overpackage the things and shove normal products in the box while charging twice as much for them...

Oh, and to get too close to comfort to the R word, easter is more a celebration of the nailee rising from the dead than the nailing up!

Oh, forgot the main reason for chocolate! It's yummy!!! :):):)

Yeah would make sense, Nod.
Yet another pagan festival "nicked" :D

A combination of the Germanic celebration of Eostre and Jewish Passover.
