Hello all

Some of my ladies in my networking groups have been asking about adding watermarks to their images that they use on facebook, website etc...not so much for copyright purposes, more as a 'brand awareness' excersize I think you would call it. Now I know how I do it, using photoshop, but obviously this is for non photographers, people who will have rarely, if ever, used any kind of editing program and I will be honest, I have very little idea of what is available at the free/cheap end of the market that can do this for them.

So, I am turning to the vast knowledge of TP for some suggestions. I am not looking for something that can batch process 100 images at once, just something they can use to simply add either a bit of text or logo image file to a few pictures before posting them.

Any suggestions please?

Faststone Image Viewer will do it and it's free. (And it will do them in batches too I think)

Faststone is PC only though so beware if you have a Mac.

Faststone is great and I use it for this purpose. You need a file for your watermark/logo 1st and I have found that using a .png image for this is best but not sure if many of your clients have a .png creator.

Any way get them to read this about Faststone

Picasa 3 lets you add simple text and choose position, size, colour, transparency and font. Available for PC or Mac but it can't do logos as far as I know.
