That is superb. Thanks for posting. I assume that the flashes of light here and there are electrical storms.
 
Absolutely beautiful isn't it? Did you see the television programmes earlier this year live from the ISS? Fascinating stuff.
I love how you can always see the slight line around the earth denoting where the atmosphere ends.

I took them to be electrical storms too. Amazed and just how many there were!

I was thinking the same, but a quick hunt has just revealed that lightning strikes the earth approximately 100 times each second.....over 8.6
million strikes per day!!! Mind boggling. :jawdrop:

I think that all the luminous green bit are aurora borealis.
I would never get any work done in the ISS. Be too busy looking out of the windows.

Love watching stuff like that, or anything to do with space. Check this video out (y) Just imagine the fun you could have. Doing a poop you could bring a new meaning to the term "floater"
