Hi all,

The Lab I have been happy to use for several years (Spectrum Photolabs Plymouth) has just downsizes and as a result no longer processes slide film (he will still scan them for me though). I am now looking for a good lab that will process and scan to high res TIFF my slide films (mainly 120 but some occasional 35mm).

My question is who is out there doing this, who do you guys use?

Thanks in advance.

Another vote for Peak Imaging, I've used them a number of times and they have been good. Worth checking if they still do free post to send your film to them.

I have always used AG for E6 and never had a problem and they also scan to 8bit TIFF if required.

Thanks Richard, I did use AG back along but I had a bad experience with them so stopped using them. I may need to re-visit them though as there doesn't seem to be many labs doing E6 and scanning to TIFF.

I also had a bad experience with AG a few years back but was encouraged to give them another try by folks on here that had been happy with the service and I have to say their service has been spot on the last few years when I've used them.

I've started using these guys by work

Not had any experience of their scanning services yet, but they are quick. I am not sure if they will take mail either.

I used them a few times back in the day, they were never cheap, their target customer was the pro market never the hobby photographer, Good service although its probably been 5 years since I used the.

I just received an email from Analogue Wonderland announcing they are providing E6 development, and TIFF scans are an option.

Here's the link to the 135 service, but 120 is available too.

The announcement states that they are outsourcing the development to another lab.

We have partnered with an independent London lab (Traia Photolab - run by Maia and Tristan) to offer slide film processing and scanning through our site and app.
We want our community to feel able to use their free tracked postage label to send in all their films at once to the WonderLab, and also to receive all scans in the 'My Photos' area of the AW website.
We would love to incorporate the chemistry into our current set-up, but it's not an easy addition and we have other big projects in place (see below!)
So the next best option is to support another film-loving business and combine our expertise Although this will add extra turnaround time, we will handle ALL the admin and internal shipping to keep it super-easy for you.
So you can now order E6 dev and scan for 35mm and 120 alongside your C41 and B&W, send it to us altogether, and relax!

This is great news, if they can add 5x4 processing to their offering it will be a one stop shop.

I’ve only used them twice, found them to be very good, and quick. The last few times I have used Aperture, the negatives were streaky.

Their cost for once in a blue moon isn’t off putting tbh,

Thanks Nick, worth a look. TBH 2 weeks turnaround is a bit more than I am used to (3 days) but since the Lab I use no longer does E6 I'll have to try others until I find one I am happy with. Just sent a roll off to AG Photolabs so I'll wait for the results and report back.

The Nifty Price estimator shows some of the labs in the UK that do E6. Includes AG, CC-Imaging, DSCL, Peak, Photo Hippo, Silver Pan Lab and The Dark Room. I've included links in the latest version to make details easier to check.

Definitely should add the Wonderlab in there!

Thanks for the reminder Chris, at the moment I have a film away to AG so I'll wait and see what I get.
