Now that Peak Imaging have closed their doors and I need to look elsewhere, what are folks on here's recommended labs for having E6 films developed please?

I dropped a couple of rolls of C41 off at Harrison's Cameras this morning because they develop that on premises, but they sub-contract their E6 and B&W developing, and quoted me an approx 4 week turnaround for E6. I'm wondering if there are places that will do a good job in a shorter timeframe?

Thanks o great TF&C hive mind! :)

I think the only E6 I shot went to AG but years ago. No clue on the lead time.

FilmDev do B & W. They are decently quick and reasonably priced. They do have a Dev only option now I think.

The Darkroom offer it. Never used them. Others might have. https://www.the-darkroom.co.uk/category/65-slide-film-processing

Thanks Suz.

I've seen mixed reports on AG for E6 developing, although it's a relatively small sample to base any decision on. I know @Mr Badger has used them with good results, but @Harlequin565 had some issues. They're on the list though. (y)

I'm ok on the B&W front as I can do that myself.

I've used Colourstream in Brighton for C41 some years back because they had a one hour turnaround and I have a door to door bus service to them. They do offer E6 (I just checked their web site) BUT £10 and 7+ days to do it.

I've just had a selection of films processed, including 35mm E6, by AG and been very happy with the service.

What was the turnaround time Nick? Thanks.
Posted late Saturday afternoon. (So probably didn’t get in the system until Monday) Negs arrived through my letterbox on the Friday.

Mrs Snap has just found a place in Stockport called Hatters that does E6. Not sure how it compares price wise with others £15 for Dev and low Res scans. I haven't used them so can't give a recommendation but they are also giving away (£1 for postage) cyanotype kits.

Hatter Editions, not Hatters.

I used The Darkroom years ago and was always happy with them, but no recent experience. I see that DS Colour Labs do E6 and have a comprehensive price list for 35mm and 120. I haven't used them for E6, but have been happy with the quality and service for their enlargement prints.

I didn't know that, they did me 10 rolls of e6 only a month or so ago..:(
I'd always recommend CCimaging but they're not cheap these days at £8 a roll.
They are local to me, turn around was next day but that was drop off and pick up, dunno what they're like with shipping.
Shame about Peak.

I've also used The Darkroom in the past - a while ago now - and was totally happy. At the time I was getting the slides returned three days after I posted them, therefore one day in the lab. They provide a pre-paid label for sending the films in.

I used to use the Darkroom a lot but stopped when i started shooting b&w and dev'ing at home.

Not a recommendation, but you could check the Nifty Price Estimator, which suggests that The Dark Room is the cheapest for E6 if taking postage into account (£9.60 for one roll). I've got an update in toe works given Peak's demise, and adding the Analogue Wonderlab (which does E6 but quotes 2-3 weeks turnaround).

I've used The Dark Room before, with generally good results. I'm thinking of sending my current batch of films to them; I was going to send them to Peak, shame they're gone, but glad my films aren't languishing in a psotbax somewhere!
