I guarantee it will be more fun than a Fiat Panda. Though maybe not as dangerous
We rented MTBs in the Lake District this year. Best plan if you only want them for a day is decide where you want to ride and then hire one there. There were big outfits in all the useful places some run by the local council. Bikes were decent quality and well maintained.
Didn't rent an E (though maybe should have done - the Lake District is always steeper than I expect...) but check the rental terms - one place basically rented them for x hours or until the battery was flat.
Cycling is painful! If there was a comfortable option for a (push)bike, I'd have one but I'm not subjecting myself to days/weeks/months of killing the nerves to trick my arris into thinking it's happy!
