Has anyone had any experience or heard much about eglobaldigitalstore.co.uk??
 
Heard a few people have used them, you will have to cover any import charges, its in their T&Cs.

Thought I would dredge this one up rather than start a new topic, as I used this company on eBay last week for a bunch of frankly too good to be true prices on Olympus Micro Four Thirds gear (even taking into account the UK cashback promotion at the moment). Delivery took a week but actually came via DPD from within the UK, so no customs concerns in terms of fees at the door. They list themselves as 'in U.K.' on eBay now (I only ever search for UK items), I find that unlikely, but at the very least they would appear to be forwarding on from within the UK.

Over the pas couple of months I have notices a few EBay retailers are 'Chinese/HK' names I have used in the past, and now are despatching items via RM within days from UK locations. It leaves me wondering whether they are 'duty paid' or not.
Have not been buying lately, other than a lens from on here for my grand daughter, and 35mm film stock, so I cannot judge prices too accurately but it would not surprise me that we could be seeing a 'dark' grey market developing.
 
I only realised it was this company once the items had arrived, and remembered seeing a few threads on here before.

Pretty interesting, as an example the Olympus 75mm 1.8 was £385, which when you consider it's £520 in the UK even with £100 cashback applied is a pretty extreme saving, cheaper than they sell used in fact.
 
It looks like there's some good news, then possibly some bad in their T&C. If 16.1 is true, why is there a 16.2? :thinking:

If they are selling way under what UK sellers are, then common sense tells me they can't be paying all taxes/duty etc. so presumably it's a case of importing to & using a serviced warehouse/logistics company, just like others do.

To me it just sounds like they are covering themselves.

If you receive the grey goods with no problem..........sorted.

If HMRC come calling on you after the 3 months, they won't reimburse you & you are liable to cough up.
 
I purchased from their eBay store, never been near their website. Absolutely nothing like the T&Cs mentioned above, in fact they clearly state that the items dispatch from the UK and they are listed as UK sellers.

recently ordered from them via eBay. No issues :)
