E-Cigarettes

Spooooooky T, I was just thinking about you :D Well if I was honest I was thinking about you and Yvonne. No! No! not in that.. Oh dont go there .I am digging myself a hole now  What I was wondering was how you were getting on vaping that Snake Oil, and how Yvonne was just vaping  I can imagine her shrouded in a plume of vape, the dog wondering what is going on and all the windows in the house misting up :lol:

 you rang m'lud?

:lol: yup keep digging! Although i did just read that as you was wondering how Yv was getting on vaping the dog..... sorry Yv lol..

Snake oil.... that was one very strange juice, i've finished it and still can't make my mind up, it's the strangest taste i've had lol.. i'm not sure i would buy it but i did keep going back to it out of curiosity..

Same here Dave, I have just started with the EVOD kit from myepack and all good so far. It arrived very quickly, all seems to work very well and is an easy introduction to vaping. I have just discovered its a far better, 'tastier' experience if I cover one of the air holes as I inhale, but that easy as my fingers naturally sit on them anyway.

To update everyone else, as you know, started vaping on monday, and this 20 a day girl is down to still having some of the ciggies left from the packet I opened Sunday night :woot: For me thats a huge step in the right direction and the few I have had have been out the back and out of the main part of of the house too, so bonus! Very happy so far

That's great Yv:thumbs::thumbs: i must admit i wished i had come across vaping ages ago, it's been one of the easiest things for me, admittedly i have just swapped the cigs (20 a day too) for vaping but at least it's all the harmful crap gone:D

 you rang m'lud?

:D That is great regards to cutting right back on the analogues Yvonne  I would imagine once you do find a flavor or two that you can vape all day and perhaps give you the TH you might want, then cutting out completely may not be far away.

Thanks guys. Looks like its the evod kit to go with. I'll report back when I've got something sorte :D

Ok folks, another kind member from UKV sent me a smoktech RDA and a bottle of fluid. The fluid is a decadent vapour Vapefest Original 2013 Edition. It is 18mg which is too high for my liking, just under the 10ml, if anybody would like to try it then just shout out.

That's awesome Yv, it just gets easier from here on in and just think of all those flavours to try :)

EEUGGH!!! *spit spit* just tried menthol tobacco, bloody horrible, even worse than real menthol cigs :gag:

if anyone wants it, almost 10ml of 18mg's :|

Had to take the taste away with a lovely mix of coffee & vanilla

I can't bring myself to try any of the tobacco flavours, although I do love menthol.

I think I am going to mix some cherry menthol soon I used to live smoking it in analogues when I could get it.

I am also going to have a go at building a stainless steel mesh wick for the agi tank

I've yet to come across a tobacco flavour that doesn't taste like crap. Blurgh!

A lot of the tobacco liquids I've tried taste the same way coffee smells. I haven't tried coffee in about 10 years but they taste like the smell. If that make sense?

 most things should/do, just because taste and smell are totally interlinked, both physiologically, and in the brain.

Anyway, hopefully some nice cherry, raspberry and.... whatever the other one was I ordered will be here soon, smelling and tasting much better :D

To be honest Yvonne, since packing up the analogs and getting my sense of taste and smell back to something I have not experienced for a long long time, I am now as T put`s it...... a flavour tart  I like Menthol but from the ones I have tasted it is better to have a liquid which contains that and fruit. Do not throw your liquid away though Yvonne if you do not like it, if you get three or four different ones you can try mixing them to see how they taste.

Dave, keep us posted on the mesh wick if possible.
Having just rebuilt the RDA I am really enjoying it :) it reminds me a bit of my childhood and watching somebody smoke a pipe. There was a certain amount of tinkering involved before taking a few puffs, then it was a gentle prod of the baccy inside before a ten second burst from the lighter to ignite it again

I have to say I have no inclination to try tabacco juices!... I used one for the first 3 days when I gave up proper cigs but it was all the different flavours that I knew I wanted to try

I am with you on that score T  Your bottle of juice and the iClear30 have been posted.

Anyone looking to try 'tobacco' type juices, look no further than the El Toro range, from the house of liquid. I've tried many different supposed tobacco offerings from various sites. Most of them are cack. Not these ones though.

They don't taste like dirty cig's, more like mild cigars, with a nutty/sweetness on the side. Virginia Prime is lovely stuff, has been my all-day vape for a while. I did really like their Cigarillos Naturales for a while, but after trying the VP it just won me over. Best dripped, but it's fine in a clearo, just more muted flavour.

And for anyone who likes that sweet cigar-like puff, and also likes almonds, look up Cigare de Paris.

I wouldn`t say I have got it bad, but I am working on a Christmas :suspect::suspect: DIY mix  Just got to think of a good name for it

Rich. Building the ss mesh wick was really easy. I am having a problem in winding a coil on it that is just right and doesn't have hot spots as they do then taste metallic. I will try a few more coils tonight. I have wrapped a new coil today for the dripper. 3mm looped on its self with 3 wraps of .2 kathal giving me 2 ohms. Loads of flavour and vapour.

I am tempted to try some lemonade juice I have seen. So next time I pass there I may well.

We do a mixture of assorted liqueurs to feed the Winter Solstice cake (generally a couple of nutty things, cherry brandy [hell, we're never going to DRINK that muck!] etc.) and call it "Christmas Spirit".

So come on rich, you can't l leave the Xmas juice at that. What's in it?

You need the Catering section Nod

I cannot go divulging trade secrets like that Dave :nono::nono: Christ Mr Kipling didn`t get where he did by doing that now did he? :p

Ah right, keep plugging away at it Dave  I did see a video a while back and I think he was using ss mesh, but not 100% sure. Again only from memory I am sure the guy wrapped a rizla around the mesh before the wire. When he fired it up it oxidised all round the coil giving a good contact. Like I say Dave I might well be wrong. The other thing Dave, what size mesh are you using and where did you buy it from?
Thanks

I had a juice last year called 'Santa's Christmas cake' - got it in a sample box, from thealchemistcupboard I think? It was 0 nic though, so I gave it away. It did smell like cake though.

bah humbug flavour with a happy twist to shock the miseries

Sounds good Keith, hope it did not have Marzipan on it, I cannot stand that stuff :shake::shake:

It did have a marzipan kick to it.

My Da was a baker, used to bake his own cakes, and would use almond icing instead of marzipan. Similar, but much, much nicer. His cakes would also be loaded with alcohol :D

Result. Made a new wick wrapped a coil running at 1.8 ohms only took 15 mins start to finish. Seems really good. I used a method I found on YouTube where you wrap the coil on a appropiate drill bit and use the drill bit to position the coil directly above the stock hole. Once in position remove the drill bit and fire the coil up a few times as if sets the coil in position, you then feed the Wick through the coil. Worked a dream.

I got the tank and all my wicking materials from www.safercigs.co.uk really nice bunch and really good prices. Will be using for my vaping kit from now on.

Nice one Dave  Next time you do have the tank apart for a rebuild would you mind taking a couple of shots?
Just remembered this video of RiP`s Dave, not sure if you have seen it but 2.38 might be of interest to you if the coil is similar to the kind of thing you are building

Rich. I will do a silica wick on the tank in a while. Having said I had a result last night with the mesh wick it didn't produce the flavour I expected compared to silica wick.

Try Cotton Dave if you have not already, it`s great imo. Are the ss wicks hollow that you are doing Dave, I am sure I have seen them done with a wick inside also?
