E-Cigarettes

After 37 odd (or 39?) weeks, I'm still finding what works for me. It's not too bad - the tanks aren't too expensive and I'll either feel ready to give it up or I'll find my perfect combo eventually :)
 
When vaping the same juice continuesly is it normal for you to loose the taste some and smell of that flavour?

Ive been on fruit salad(some was mixed with cola and iron bru.as there flavours were rather week. Just sherberty) for maby two and a half weeks now with some menthol in between.

The first 10ml bottle seemed good after the 2nd day but by the 4th/5th day the flavour/smell seemed week again and with my 30ml bottle its never realy came back.
The menthol seems okay. Maby not quite as sharp as when I first tryed that but still has alit more flavour than the fruit salad.

A good point, i should check the calculator, i certainly am not thinking of going back on the cigs, no way..

Have you been steeping the juices? The flavours can fade a little if you keep them steeping. It can have positive effects too though, with flavours that are too strong to begin with. Keep them closed up tight once they taste like you want.

At a guess, this effect could be similar to the way chewing gum seems to lose its flavour. Basically, the taste buds that register the flavours get saturated so seem to stop sending the signals - the gum seems to be tasteless. Store it overnight and it'll regain some of the taste - not all but enough to seem as though it's much fresher than it was!

Similarly, if you live or work in the countryside, you'll soon not notice the ever present odour of cow/sheep/pig excrement while visitors will be almost gagging!

Will the flavour juices be classed as medicines or just the nicotine? Maybe worth stockpiling the nicotine in anticipation (if it's stable enough to store for a while). Having given up smoking the hard way many years ago, maybe now's the time for the vapers to wean themselves off nicotine anyway before the probable legislation kicks in.

Don't see how they include flavour concentrates, but I wouldn't count on it.

Nic base will be included. We can stockpile in advance, but the shelf life, even in a freezer, isn't unlimited. They say it last up to 2 years in cool, dark conditions. It doesn't freeze, but you might get an extra year in a freezer (I guess).

One things for sure, a variation on a spray inhaler is not going to cut it. The side effects are seen as a plus, as it discourages use!!!

AGI v2 tank/dripper
some 400 mesh
3mm silica wick
some .2 and .25 kathal wire
Sigelei mechanical Mod #61

Looking forwards to trying it all. need to build a few wicks first.

Nice one Dave :thumbs: I have a used Smoketech RDA coming tomorrow hopefully, it will at least give me something to practice on before committing myself to spend a bit more on one.
 
Sorry about the crappy pic. Just made a quick Wick for dripping to try it. Omg it produces vapour like a steam train. I think I am going to like this muchly.

Surely that's a "photo for pleasure" and therefore requires no critique ;)

Having said that, there does seem to be some distortion on the bay windows which should have been sorted in PP........
 
Since it's a reflection shot, I think it looks better with the subject running straight through the middle of the frame.
 
Tomato/Tomato (doesn't quite work in text!) same thing different name, does same job. As one website shop I use says 'we call them all 'mizers' to save any ambiguity.

Mizers.

Atomizer, Cartomizer, Clearomizer..Not So Clear O Mizer...The new names of atomizer types will never end, thats why LT Ecigs has chosen the "catch-all" name Mizer for all these devices.
They all have the same basic ability, its a heating wire that heats up the smoking liquid and produces the vapor.

Yes, top one is indeed a clearomizer. The bottom one you've shown are known as 510 cartomizers. There's more than cosmetic/appearance differences. You fill them differently, and they soak up and 'vape' juice differently. The clearomizers you just pour the liquid in whichever end opens, and let the wicks do the rest. With a cartomizer you need to drip the juice in slowly, there's a sponge-type material inside, you soak that up with your juice. You can also use the "condom method" to fill -

Right, I need to find a vape kit as I really need to knock the cigars on the head! I've looked through this thread a few times and bookmarked a couple of products to consider more.

Does anyone have any tips for a first time buyer they can share, I really need to do this now :D

Welcome aboard, oh boy where to start, what sort of budget what takes your fancy, how serious are you going to take it?
 
The best advice I can give is go to a local shop that gives you the option of trying before you buy, both the kits and the liquids. What works for others might not work in the way you need or want it to. I spent hours in the shop trying loads of stuff before I left with my ego-t kit.

Go with the Evod kit Dave it is a great intro into vaping imo,I still have my two for when I go out and about. Myepack is spot on for prices and service. Just to confirm as someone else mentioned it, all his stuff is genuine and not copies.

Agree with Rich, i definitely would go with the evod kit, twice the kit, good price etc and as much as i haven't got anything from myepack yet the communication was excellent:thumbs:

Spooooooky T, I was just thinking about you :D Well if I was honest I was thinking about you and Yvonne. No! No! not in that.. Oh dont go there .I am digging myself a hole now :lol: What I was wondering was how you were getting on vaping that Snake Oil, and how Yvonne was just vaping :shrug: I can imagine her shrouded in a plume of vape, the dog wondering what is going on and all the windows in the house misting up :lol::lol:
 
Same here Dave, I have just started with the EVOD kit from myepack and all good so far. It arrived very quickly, all seems to work very well and is an easy introduction to vaping. I have just discovered its a far better, 'tastier' experience if I cover one of the air holes as I inhale, but that easy as my fingers naturally sit on them anyway.



To update everyone else, as you know, started vaping on monday, and this 20 a day girl is down to still having some of the ciggies left from the packet I opened Sunday night :woot: For me thats a huge step in the right direction and the few I have had have been out the back and out of the main part of of the house too, so bonus! Very happy so far :thumbs:
