They do JC flavoured juice? THAT's why a certain green lady's given up the real thing!!!

Weirdly, vaping seems to be catching on in Greece (where the traditional breakfast is a cup of coffee and a ciggy), with the big chromed devices being favourite.

Which British companies are the biggest names? Want to dispose of my baccy shares and get into vaping instead.

Not sure if there is a biggest name as such Nod. The majority of them sell the same type of hardware, and as for the juice it is a case of trying it to see if you like it. I bought my Vamo and the Evod kit for my mate from MyEPack. When you consider the price of the Evod starter kit that is a good price. Just had one come through for a friend of mine and he is well pleased with it.

OK, dumb question time - you KNEW this would happen!

Right, the EVOD kit comes with a coil in each unit, plus some spares, but the user manual [written in such miniscule print that I struggled to read even with my reading specs on] doesn't say how often coils should be changed. I realise this might vary in different units, but can anyone offer a guideline?

BTW - Nod is still in shock that his message asking 'what ciggies do you want?' on his holiday dutyfree allowance, was responded to with 'None thanks, I am joining the vaping brigade!' :D

:lol: Regarding the coils Yvonne it depends how much you use the Evod for really, three days a week even. Quite a few people will strip them down after and give them a rinse, let them dry and reuse them again. I did this for the first week but found that I can take one apart replace the coil and wick in about three minutes. I read up on how much more vapor you get with homemade coils but I did not believe it until I tried it.

really? now i didn't know that... is there a big difference to changing it weekly?.. i seem to have mine in at least couple weeks or more and thought it just tasted burnt when it was shot... and i vape heavily.....occasionally i do rinse if i've had a stronger flavour..

If you're using the same juice you can easily get a week out of a coil before it'll need a rinse. Change/wash out for every different juice. To wash them out, a wee plastic bowl, I have one specifically for this purpose - a quick rinse under the tap, drop them into the bowl, top up with boiling water, give a swish about - drain and top up again with boiling water. Drain, and allow to dry on paper towels. You can speed the process up if you only have a few spares by using a hair dryer.

You can also add a cap-full of vodka to the boiling water for added clean-effect. Alcohol is great for the wicks.

Actually that makes sense, the vodka I mean, Yves Geza uses it, together with salt, for cleaning his pipes, pack the bowl with vodka soaked salt and watch the gunk pulled out :gag:

OK... so I have enough coils then to have some being cleaned while others are in use and then I can always look at doing the rebuilds later.

Now i just need those bloody liquids to get here :annoyed:

:gag::gag: Keith I need to have a private word with you with regards to using Vodka in this fashion :nono::nono::nono: :D

i have my fingers crossed for you that they do!

I'm off to buy more coils and vodka!:lol:

My missus drinks vodka, it's my no-no drink really! But there's always a half bottle in the press. I steal the odd cap full here and there, and by the time she goes to have one after a stressful day - it's 1/4 gone. I'm trying to explain how great it is for cleaning coils and she's like "yeah, riiiight!" :D Now, Tequilla, I wouldn't be wasting that on it!

Where did you order your juices from? I've ordered from some of the UK sites and got my vape-mail within a couple of days to Ireland.

Mmmmm, vape-mail - I'm due an order actually ...

It doesn't leave any taste. You do give a good rinse after. Some vendors use alcohol in their juices to thin them out. I had a brandy-menthol juice, it was as vile as it sounds.

This is exactly what I am on about  Vodka is meant for throwing down your neck :rules: not diluting it for cleaning purposes :D

I have an ego-t kit with 2 batteries. It's lasted me 37 weeks so far! (to the person asking about getting into vaping)

Ha, its not for me. Give me a good beer, wine, brandy or tequilla any day. Vodka makes me go a bit la la :D

Thats good going Toni!.. i have 900 mah ego ce5 kit, think it took over the ego -c i am after the itaste vv3 thingy that keith has i do believe ...

I just messaged the emporium juices place up there too, very helpful and they will post to me yippee:D

I think my batteries are the 1100 type. If I'm remembering correctly! A charge overnight lasts me all day and I'm quite a heavy user.

Glad they're posting to you!!

Amyl Nitrate might work well as a coil/wick cleaner...

Then again, it might not!!!

Hi Dini, if you are looking at a starter pack then you might want to think about this one, price wise I cannot find cheaper. It is the same kit as I bought but I paid much more through another supplier. I have also used MyePack for another purchase and their service was bang on. At the end of the day it is down to your choice just like any other purchase.

Thats a very good deal but im very keen to get the itaste v3 because it uses a microusb charger which is the same as my phone.

Does anyone know any store that has the full kit version in stock? Most seem to be out of stock.

I'm guessing he means with clearo's too as that looks like just the battery?

:D:D I've saved the site too as it's what i plan on getting i a couple of weeks, although i may try the place Keith linked awhile back.. it's in Ireland but i think they ship and it's the cheapest so far:D I'll go hunt it down for him

You're a star thank you! I use the evods which so far I like but I am tempted to try those 16's when I get the kit

I use evods too. They're great when they behave :) once they start to leak though ... :/

My first one leaked but put a different coil in and it was ok, I have had the odd drop round the edge but they are still better than the ce4 things... I hated the little rubber bung on top of the coil casing bit

I had a terrible time with clearos when I started out. Especially the short wick types. They've come on a bit even in those few months. I think even the evods have improved. The new ones, with the Evod BCC typed on the side. They seem to be better built. I bought some a few weeks back and they have been good since. Earlier versions I'd gotten were desperate for leaking out the sides. I would have to have some kitchen roll to hand at all times when vaping. Ain't nobody got time fo' that! :D

I buy some fresh ones every now and then. Not because the older ones are done in, I buy 5 heads with most orders so I always have stock up - but I keep losing the damned things! :D I know I have a blue and a yellow evod, but can't for the life of me find them, along with the ego batt's they were last attached to. SO I now have a cool bright green, a black and a silver. On the iClears I have a couple of blacks, a blue a yellow and green.

I tend to use the black and silver ones for tobacco juices, and the coloured ones for sweet flavours :)

Those are the short wick ones I hate! :D in your second link.

If they're getting hot after a few pulls, then the coil is either about to bust, you're at too high a voltage/wattage - If the coil is low resistance, like 1.8 ohm, then you need to keep the volts down. Could be one reason you're over heating. This in turn stops leaking.

EVODS coils last me about a week, if I'm using them fairly constantly. If I've got 2 on the go, that might stretch to 9-10 days (at best).

Denture cleaning tablets are great. I use them to clean all my cartos, tanks etc. leave them for an hour or so and they come out like new.

Happy bunny :). Just got my Vamo back from being repaired by Myepack. No charge :clap:

Well after charging up the Vamo again and fitting on the protank 2, I was again seeing a small problem. To get the air to draw and the vamo to vape nicely the tank had to be screwed down just so, in other words not too tight. This left the thread of the tank with so much slack that it was moving from side to side. This is what I think caused the original thread to strip inside the first vamo, speaking again to Ash from Myepack I siad in all honesty there is either a design fault or the the internal thread of the vamo and the thread of the protank are not being manufactured to the same tolerance  Other than this the vamo works really well with the Evod clearomisers on.

He is now sending me an ISD SVD and a KSD KMAX to try out. Not sure if anybody has any experience or heard good reports about either? There is a link for a review of the iTaste on their site, but I must admit I was not that impressed with the function of the buttons. Oh well will have to suck it and see as usual :D
