E-Cigarettes

Woohoo! Got the replacement board for my Semovar this morning. Installation was a doddle and I'm now sitting in a cloud with a stupid grin on my face.

Hats off to C9V and Svoemesto for such great customer support.

I'm assuming you can't place an order with them until they are open.. as in 10am... tried a few times this weekend but you can't click on the basket...fingers crossed

That seems odd. I've not ordered from there, but on any other site you could make your order outside of opening hours.

Woop woop, just picked a backup device so now running a provari and itaste SVD both with pro tank 2's :)

Congrats Ryan  I hopefully have a Vamo V4 plus a couple of protank 2`s coming tomorrow :D I must admit I like the look of the iTaste 134

Only trouble is I now don't see the extra value in the provari mini lol

What sort of difference do you get with from the protanks to the evods?

Dunno yet T, will have to suck it and see  I am sure one of the other guy`s will tell you though, and there are loads of Youtube videos out there.

Got my Davide glassomizer yesterday, used it all day. Still undecided as to whether it is too airy or not. Was enjoying my iclear30's that came with my SVD but they are not so easy to recoil.
So what I want is the ease of recoil and the glass tank from the Davide combined with the draw of the iclear. Just need to find it now.

Where is the problem then Colin, I would have thought winding the wire around two wicks would make life easier?

It's not just two wicks in the iclears it's about 8 wicks wrapped in two coils which sit across each other in the very thin metal tube. All rather fiddly.

Ah right, I thought it was just the two wicks four ends so to speak. What you running that on 240v :D

Protanks are a looser draw. You can compensate for this with an airflow regulator (vape escape sell them) but they're more likely to flood/gurgle with a restricted airflow. They taste about the same as EVODs and in fact the heads are interchangeable. The main benefit, IMO, is that protanks hold a bit more juice and have glass tanks (for all those acidic, lemony, juices that crack plastic tanks). The Protank2 is definitely better than v1, as it uses no glue to hold the tank and can take a standard 3rd party drip tip.

Get an airflow controller for the Davide.

So what's so special about the Davide Glassomizer?

I assume its from China with the typical translation errors.

Davide Glassomizer Features:
1.Unique innovative Tube Locking System make the pyrex glass tube changeable, safer, more economic and easier cleaning.
2.The volume of glassomizer can be easily upgaded by our longer spare tube and glass tube locker.
3.Changeable metal drip tip, your current on hand drip tip will not be wasted.
4.Art of state body shape and quality vapor function

I knew they existed but I've been playing with blu-tak and plumbers tape this morning and I'm not sure if I would be able to tighten the draw to the same level as the Iclear's.
The other consideration would be adding to the height, SVD in 18650 mode with Davide on top and then an airflow controller :gag: Think I just need to add a ballhead and I'll have a very sturdy monopod at a decent height.

It's basically very similar to the kanger protank 2, to the extent that they even use the same heads.

Who cares my Vamo has arrived :D

Me! :D I'm sure you will be really enjoying the Vamo, I was very pleased when my SVD arrived when compared with the ego style batteries I had. Considered the V4 Vamo but they weren't as readilly available the other week.

I've been trading juices, off-loading any I don't like or just wasn't getting around to using. This morn I got some Wingnuts - Swedish fish in the post. I was dying to try this. It's yumilicious :D Like grabbing a fist-full of those jelly fish sweets and stuffing them in your gob :D

:lol::lol: What about these then Keith

other half has tried the roast chicken, just like walkers crisps apparently. also he tried the diablo (chilli pepper) one, made him choke first but he didnt think much of it after that.

I've tried Smoko's roast chicken cigalikes. Wasn't half as bad as I expected.

The airflow controller is about 3-4mm in height, depending on how it's set. On a protank 1, for me, it made a huge difference.

Know what you mean about the SVD size. It's a little too big for me, even if it does look positively dainty alongside one of those 134 monstrosities. At least it has the option of taking an 18350 battery. Does it take 18500's?

I believe it takes 18500's too. Unfortuantely I can't get through a day with one 18650 so not worth the height saving for me. I'm back to the Iclear now and I'll either try and modify the Davide in some way or sell it on.

After all it is a photography forum  I am really pleased with the vamo, not sure if asking for a picture sticky within a sticky is pushing things :D Somebody else can ask

I can imagine roast chicken not being too bad actually :D

BUT ... real fishy ones, like crab juice, and I believe there's a tune one out there ... are just wrong!! :gag:

That is interesting, so to clarify was it the iTaste that was the backup?

Yup, the itaste is the backup as the provari is smaller and better build quality so more suited to a day at work, I didn't explain myself clearly.

The provari is the better but had I tried the itaste first I wouldn't have bought a provari for the extra cost (nearly three itastes to one provari).

I suspect the provari would outlast 3 SVDs though. Apart from the paint that falls off if you stare at it too hard, provaris are reassuringly solid. A friend of mine loves SVDs but had 2 simultaneously "in the shop" for repairs not long ago.

Well I got my wham and refresher today!... I think i should have gone for slightly higher than 8mg

Originally I was 24mg but in the green apple and fruity ones 8mg seems enough....
Unless....
If you wash everything how long do you leave to dry? Could it be too wet?

Are you talking about the flavour? As the 8mg and 24mg are the nicotine strength not the strength of the flavour.

 I know that

Ok, I was just checking as the way you had written your question I had read it as it sounded like you may have thought it was the strength of the flavour.

When I washed my tank out u left it over night to dry.

Yeah with my ce4 I did too, or all day in the sun, I have evods now and I wasn't sure if it was any different as I didn't leave long at all

2 words: Hair dryer ;)

I normally have a bunch drying, a bunch ready dried and then the ones in use, keep them in a cycle.

But if you're low on spare dries use a hair dryer, it works well.

Even ones I have left to naturally dry overnight have still been slightly damp next day and they just won't draw the juice up well at all. You should still be tasting them pretty well, just without a decent TH

On the Wham, the strength does make a huge difference. I tried 8mg at first and though it tasted good, there was little or no TH, so got 24mg next and it's just great. Refresher is better at 18, as it has a stronger TH per strength. And I do feel the higher nic brings the flavour out more.

Hair dryer! Hadn't thought of that and would help as I have no spares!
The refresher at 8mg seems ok but I would like to try the wham at higher as there is no TH whatsoever

Feeling pretty pleased with myself today. Just recoiled 6 heads and rewicked with cotton wool. Three wraps +1 have been coming in at 1.9 ohms, and four wraps +1 are at 2.5 ohms I will have a go at the CE4`s tomorrow as they were running at 3.9 and 4.5 ohms respectively, both brand new as well.
