E-Cigarettes

My missus vapes nothing but menthols. She won't touch anything else. I get her a bottle anytime I'm ordering, she doesn't vape near as much as I do. I usually get her 10 - 12mg ones as they seem as strong as an 18 or even 24 non-menthol. You get much stronger TH in general from most mint/menthol juices. Could be the way to go for anyone looking to lower their nic content.

I don't mind the odd nice menthol, but never when drinking. Doesn't go well with beers or wines.

I don't like the menthol minty ones... i got a bottle of cool mint gum but i guess i just like the sweet or fruity ones..

Though i am disappointed in the 4 i got yesterday. i only like the raspberry

mocha was yuk
red apple smells lovely but tastes gag... yet the green apple is lush but all gone.
candy floss not nice, well this one wasn't anyway..

unless of course they are all tainted from the crappy mocha:lol::lol:

The Zanzibar seems to get mentioned quite a lot around the forums. Any chance of a detailed description of it :) I found this place today Not sure if anybody has used them yet? They look as if they have gone to the trouble of making their website and products to look nice. Not sure if they will allow it but have asked the Mods for a sticky so we can put anything for sale swap or give away in it, which is related to E-Cigs.

Cg_Girl, try steeping them for a few days. Even some of the nastiest juices I bought over the year were not too bad after a few days in a dark cupboard without their lid. Every now and then, take the bottle out and give it a squeeze, let some fresh air in, then stick it back in the cupboard.

Oh right, well that's worth a try, i can't afford to keep buying them and only liking 1 out of 4...

Oh and please call me T, or Trace, everyone else does :D

Ok T ;) that's much easier type :D

Also, don't worry if the juices change colour after a steep - that's normal. Give 'em a good shake up every day, blast of fresh air with a squeeze, and I bet they will at least be smoother after.

Haha:lol::lol: yep, personally i think everyone should have one letter, not that i'm lazy or anything..

I had noticed alot of mine change colour, And now it makes sense the company/bloke i got my initial stuff from when i was asking if i could smell the liquids he said sure the fresh air is good for them..

Zanzibar is a mare to describe as it really is a bunch of different flavours just very enjoyable, two colleagues have switched to vaping from it after tasting it lol ( they both disliked the tobacco flavours).

Only thing I could offer is a taste at any meets if I can get to any lol.

Oh I know that feeling. My cupboard is really starting to fill up with lots of small bottles. Started mixing my own juice this week though so hopefully I can settle on 2 or 3 recipes and start mixing bigger quantities.

Had to reduce my nic content though because I'm always trying to finish a tank to try the next flavour, so going through a fair amount in a day.

I am on 8mg mixes already and mixed up a cherry and butterscotch last week which is really nice now is steeped for a week.

I'm still wary of making my own i'm bound to co'ck it up:bonk: plus i need to find flavours i love and can vape often, i get bored easily and always trying new ones, mind you i am bad if a new lot arrive i will quite easily tip it away to fill with new exciting stuff:D

It is really easy to mix juices. It is all laid out in the instructions in really easy to follow steps. I was worried the first time but it really is easy.

Just mixed another batch with a little more flavour.

I think I will leave it a bit before trying to make my own, having really just started. But it seems to be a lot more cost affective.

At the moment I don't think I'm spending much less than I did on the sticks if not the same or more due to buying bits.I was only on around 5/6 a day and find myself chain vaping, as I can now sit inside so probably go through 3 -4 ml a day(being a house husband doesn't help either)

If any of you with unwanted juices are in London, bring them down to a meet up. Members of "UK Vapers" and "All About E-Cigarettes" meet every 6 weeks or so at one of two pubs near London Bridge. People bring unwanted juices, samples of their own mixes and even unwanted hardware, sometimes. UK Ecigs usually attend, bringing a few raffle prizes and offering a discount on pre-ordered products. We usually get a good little crowd, including a few vendors and collectors who bring all sorts of weird and wonderful kit to see and try out.

Details of the next meet (end of Sept, IIRC) are on the local meet ups sections of both forums.

I was on 20 a day. That was €10 just about, daily. Not spending anything even close to that on vaping. I spent a lot starting out, tried a bunch of kits and tanks and loads of juices. But i still have all the gear i bought, have only had to buy new coils and the odd new tank here and there. And top up the juice press when needed. If i added it all up i bet itll be less than a couple of euro per day from the start.

Got my other its today :)

The evod seems nice.Do new clearomisers have a chemically taste, when new both the evod and c5 I bought have this taste...either that or its the e liquids from paradise vape.

The regal is kind of yuk, has a nutty sort of taste but nothing like a real cig.
The irn bru seems nice if not kind of weak again, being scottish i had to give it a go though.
The cola I've yet to try as well as the free sample of kulua and cream

But the fruit salad i got yesterday is realy growing on me, might have to get some more :)

I've found there's been some juices I love for the first day then decide they're too much, some can be growers too.
I've not had any issues with clearos but I'm sure others have

New coils can give off a bit of a rubbery/synthetic taste, but it should go away once well soaked

I wash my coils/wicks often, just boiling water after a good rinse out under the tap. I leave them in boiled water until it cools, then refil the bowl - a few times and they're good as new, only with none of that off taste like some new coils give.

I've seen some people suggest that you wash brand new coils before use. Not a bad idea maybe. [tip: to speed up drying, lay them out on kitchen roll and use a hair-dryer] At least then if you get that taste you'll know it is the juice. Only juice I've had that really, really tasted synthetic/rubbery was a Dekang RY4.

Can anyone recommend a clearomizer that doesn't leak? I've just bought the new itaste V3 from ukecig store and keep it in the case in my pocket while at work. Every time I go to have a puff I have to wipe the mouthpiece as its soaking. It's producing a really nice vape but I really need something more secure.

Phil. I am using a total wicked rb1 that doesn't leak and seems fine. I jnow some will have a spat as it's made by totally wicked.

What clearo do have on there? Because I use the itaste with the iClear 16 tanks and they never leak on me. I did have one that was leaking a little but turned out to be the tank section was a little loose, just popped it back tight and it's grand.

i have about 8 atomizers on my desk in a little home made rack so have tried most, for day to day non leaking you cant really beat the kanger pro tank 2. at my desk i do like the genesis tanks like the z-atty pro, or the aga-t this tends to leak a bit if moved around but it does give a much smoother full flavoured vape, and i have settled on the ceramic wick with my own custom coils,

happy vaping

I had an issue with my evod but changing atomiser it seems ok, except when I went back to the juice I had in when it leaked originally but I'm assuming that was just a fluke and certain juices don't leak right?

Cheers Dave. Will have a look at that :)

It's the one that came in the kit, which is the iclear 16 I think. Problem is it gets thrown about a bit in my pocket but never had such a bad problem with the Vapouriz tank kit clearo :(

I must admit I was getting a bit frustrated with a couple of leaking clearo`s on my Evod. On one the solution was to place another rubber grommit upside down on top of the other one. And the other stopped simply by taking away the extra small wick inside the atomiser head which was suggested on here. I have just managed to re-wick a couple of the coils by following the first one of these video`s, must admit they are vaping far better than the standard wick.

It's possible, as some juices are known to actually crack plastic tanks! Like Pluid - which I have a sample of. I was told to only use it in glass tanks, like the pro tank.

 There I was thinking it was a typo Keith when I saw pluid mentioned over on UKV,gonna have to check this out even at the expense of a cracked Clearomiser :D Did you get yours through Mad Murdock Keith or was it a sample somebody gave you?

Not sure what the rules are regarding clones here John :rules:

Got some new juices in the vape-mail today, along with a top up of refresher.

All 18mg -

Ben Jonsons awesome sauce: Nebula - straight out the bottle this one is very nice. It's grape & lychee, but if I didn't know that I would have said grape/melon/cherry bubblegum! It's not cheap, at €12 per 15ml, but a nice wee treat. If you're a fan of bubblegum flavours, [though this isn't touted as one, it would pass for one] you'll love this.

Villain vapors: Ante up - A peppermint flavour, reckon it's a 70 VG, could be wrong, but clouds of vapor. Taste is a little dry, wouldn't be an all day but I'm not a huge menthol fan, bought this one for herself, but it's more pleasant than some of the harsher menthols out there.

Flavors by joe: Berry Koolada: A mixed berry flavour with a menthol kick. Think blackberry/raspberry with a slight minty after taste.

Triphammer zanzibar: Not sure about this one, I think it may require steeping. I get a spicey, almond taste, but it smells nicer than it tastes. I'll come back to that in a few days after it's steeped. Very dark liquids, as this one is, tend to need it more I think.

Flavorz by joe: Mint delight - Now this is how I like a menthol. Not overpowering, tastes of spearmint or even wrigley's double mint. I can see me using this on the side daily, not all day, but for a change up throughout any day.

Sounds good Keith, I have been vaping one called " Very Berry " That one is fruity with a kick of cool Menthol as well, really refreshing. Have you come across a really good Coffee flavour juice yet?

Quite like the sound of the nebula, i could be tempted to try:D

Still not sure on any minty ones tho

I got 2 new evods along with the juices too, as I lost the ones I had - one at a festival, the other, no idea :D

Forgotten how good an evod can be, once they behave! So far so good on both.

I'm on my second fill of Nebula tonight, it is very nice :)

Not really into coffee flavours, I tried a few and they were either too bitter, or too sickly sweet, just like real coffee then :D

I have to say I like my evods, they vape far better than the ce4..

Going to order the wham and refresher in the morning and try and hunt down a decent vanilla, I tried a French vanilla but seemed almost tasteless

Be quick! I was recommending them on an irish Vape forum and there's a fair few interested in trying them out. [One guy managed to wrangle the 5ml I have remaining of Wham 8mg out of me for a trade] Vapeescape are apparently out of all but 24mg, so most are hitting the triphammer uk site. http://www.triphammer.co.uk/

I'm assuming you can't place an order with them until they are open.. as in 10am... tried a few times this weekend but you can't click on the basket...fingers crossed
