E-Cigarettes

Having major leak issues with my kanger evod clearo, I must be doing something wrong but I have no idea where, I'm in London till late tomoz night and I'm just glad I bought my old clearo just incase or I'd be without

Leaking from where? Down the centre tube or where body meets base? Did you take a wick out? That'll increase centre tube flooding, which will come out either end.

At the base, it looks like its coming from the holes in the side and no I didn't take any wick out, it done it when I first got it, I opened it up made sure it all looked ok and then all day and evening it was fine but all day today it's just leaked everything out, I bought a spare atomiser so I'll try that one once I'm home if not I don't know,
I bought this one because my ce4's started leaking and I just thought they were old, a battery won't make them all leak will they?

I'm getting gob fulls as well... Yuk!

There should be a small o-ring that sits where the coil section screws into the base. I once had the o-ring deform in such a way that it leaked in a similar way. I've also had a similar problem with a Protank when the coil unit was cross-threaded with the base (so that it screwed in at a slight angle).

Have a go at removing the atomiser (coil) and re-seating it. Check the o-ring when you do it.

...and always carry spares if away for any length of time. I know, easy to be wise after the fact, but y'know. ;-)

Thank you, I've had a look but can't get the little coily bit of so I'll try once I'm home later tonight, everything else, little seals and stuff look ok, not split or anything.. Failing that I'll put whole new atomiser/coily thing in..
Yes packing spares I need to plan ahead more.. I'm thankful I did pack my old one that's for sure :)

If you can't easily unscrew the coil unit, then it may well be cross-threaded.

If its any consolation, you're not alone. My Kayfun leaked overnight and I've just fried my battery mod trying to fire it. Not happy, but the dealer has stepped in to get a replacement (which is great considering the mod was bought 2nd hand).

That, and Palace losing to Spurs, have pretty much ruined my day. :(

Well that's just pants, although i don't support either:D The dealer replacing a 2nd hand mod tho? really? that is good of him/them/her

I couldn't unscrew mine even now i'm home with a pair of pliers, maybe i'm weak lol, so anyway i put the spare one in, so i'll see how it goes and fingers crossed otherwise i may just have to have a foot stamping moment:D:eek:

Sorry, we're at crossed purposes. I wasn't talking about taking the coil unit apart, just replacing it in the base. Hopefully that should solve the problem.

The dealer who originally sold my mod (Cloud 9 Vaping) is the UK distributer for Svoemesto and is incredibly helpful. He's arranged for a new circuit board to be sent from Germany, with no question about charging. I admitted it wasn't really his responsibility up front so I'm blown away that he stepped in. If he hadn't, I'd have been left trying to talk to the manufacturer in Russia. Will definitely be buying more from C9V in future.

Ahhh ok! well i had just tried just taking it out of base and back in again with no luck, so far the new one seems ok, but then the other one was initially so i'm going to give it a bit of time, i hope it is ok tho because i quite like it, as in it seems to vape more than my ce4 ones..

I've not been onto cloud 9 vaping, i shall have to go look as that is amazing services, it's things like that, that make you go back and recommend too:D

What sort of life are people getting out there e cig's.

Been having a look around and was looking at the variable voltage/watt one that was posted a few posts back. Some sites state the battery is exoected to be needing replaced after 2-3 months.. is this about right?

Was realy considering buying one but that makes me think im better just buying cheaper ones if im going to have yo chuck them anyway.

Not that I'm aware of.... I've had mine just over 2 months and all still ok, although I do want to upgrade..
I would say yes maybe if its a lesser quality but I wouldn't have thought the decent ones would be a problem...

I've got 5 month old eGo batteries (1000mah passthroughs) that are still going strong. Any rechargeable battery is going to have a limited life, but I'd be complaining if I had one that only lasted 2-3 months.

It's one reason why serious Vapers tend to use mods with replaceable batteries rather than the all-in-one eGo types. A typical replacement 18650 battery for, say, a Vamo or eVic costs under a tenner. A Spinner or Twist is what, £15-20?

Depends which type. I mean something like a Vamo, you can change the battery if it goes dead, for cheap enough. You can buy 18650 batteries for about a fiver. And I have some now about 5mths, still charging and performing alright

As for all in one types like the ego batteries - also have many of those for about 5mths, still charging up and working fine. Not sure they last as long as they did when new, but they still work just fine.

Vape Escape for Trip Hammers Zanzibar juice and UK Ecig store for the organic vanilla which are my two regular vapes at the mo.

Most of mine have been from here http://wickedeliquid.co.uk/ but have been looking at what eciguk have ... I'm always looking for recommended flavours to try, i think i'm a bit of an eliquid tart lol

Ooh the fruit salad is yummy!!

Vape Escape for Trip Hammers Zanzibar juice .

Still meaning to try that one. I love triphammer refresher & Wham!

They have some not-so-good ones too though.

I mostly buy from Irish vendors, because I get the stuff much quicker obviously. Vaperus, thebestshop and now thehouseofliquid sell through an Irish vendor e-smokeireland.eu

They didn't have refresher or wham in but did enjoy the toffee apple :)

Zanzibar is definitely my favourite daily vape :)

I need to look for wham and refresher!:D

I've just got today, raspberry, red apple they are lovely so is the green apple.

Mocha.. is:gag: not tried the cotton candy, but it doesn't smell as nice as the lemon blueberry cotton candy i had awhile back

what is Zanibar??

Also since using the kanger evod, which now it seems to work so far, it seems a way better vape, more clearer? and way more vape.. plus i have dropped my nic level by half, was 24mg now 12.. woohoo

I have just filled up two clearo`s.Coffee Paradise in one and Lime Ball in the other, tasting quite nice I must say. both purchased through LTEcigs

This one
has to be next on my list I reckon  Keith thanks for the info about the battery and charger, Thought it was best to keep it in here actualy rather than PM`s. Keith has sent me a link for the Panasonic NCR18650B 3400mah Battery and a suitable charger, as a Vamo V4 is on the cards very shortly. Also wondering what cartomiser might suit it best? So many tanks to choose from, again it is like a minefield. One where it has the two binding posts for recoiling would suite my not so nimble digits I reckon

Not much to choose from at 22mm, to match the vamo. Protanks are 18mm but look ok. Puritanks are 20mm, but not tried one yet. Both use the same heads and can use EVOD heads. If you're feeling flush, the Kayfun Light (£66) is very highly regarded and quite easy to build.

You should treat yourself to an IGO-L dripper. Looks great on a vamo and is dead easy to rebuild (lots of room, big posts etc). Being a dripper, its not very practical for all day but great for home use, tasting etc.

No worries u8myufo.

I took the collar off my Vamo V3, and now use my iclear 16s on there. They don't work so well on the V2 Vamo as you can't remove the top collar, meaning the bottom air holes on the clearo are blocked and the draw is too tight because of this.

I mostly use Vivi nova tanks or the puri or pro-tanks on the Vamo. I'm not one that's fussy about them being flush with the device. I also have some drip attys - some are awaiting me to recoil them. Might get on it tonight.

I like a drip atty when I'm sat at the laptop sometimes, just keep the juice close by. For the likes of Virginia prime, you cannot get near as good a taste from any fill tank. But after a while it does become a bit of a PITA.

I should add, there are also Vivi Novas and iClear 30's if you fancy trying a top coil atty. Both are popular and look okay on a vamo.

Or there are several 22mm carto tanks to choose from. Not rebuildable, but again, very popular.

[edit] oops! Cagey beat me to it, with the Nova. ;-)

Thanks again guy`s. John, you mention the various thread sizes in your post, does that mean I could possibly use 18,20,22mm tanks  Keith mentions about taking off the collar to accommodate the Iclear, does this mean getting an extra adapter so that I would be able to use a different thread size then?

Not thread size, but device size. You can use anything up to 22mm wide, with a 510 connector (the inner threads on an eGo battery). Atties with eGo connectors (the outer thread on an eGo battery) may fit within the "drip trap" (recessed channel) on the Vamo, or if not, you may be able to remove the collar around the vamo top. The reason I'm doubtful is you can't remove the collar on my V2 vamo. If the V4 has a fixed collar, you can get a 510 to eGo adapter anyway, but it shouldn't be a problem as most larger atties use a 510 connection anyway.

What finish are you after for the Vamo? Chrome matches protanks/puritanks very nicely.

Cheers for that John, not sure about which finish but chrome is the shiniest I suppose

I only take the collar off on the V3, you can't do so on the V2 - it just allows airflow for that particular clearo. As the air holes are on bottom. No adapter needed. I don't think you'd need one for the V4 either, or to remove any parts, as the gap is much wider around the top connection.

I would want SS. Chrome plate is just a fingerprint magnet. It's also not as tough. Cheap alloy underneath nowhere near as tough as SS

That is a valid point regards to the finish Keith. Did the Vamo live up to your expectations when you first got it Keith? Are you likely to get a different VV-VW in the near future?

I'm not sure if i am allowed to do this... ( mods don't send me to the corner if i'm not).... but

I am building up quite a collection of eliquids that i don't like... i am quite happy to post them to anyone that wants to have them.. i don't want money for them..

I just wondered if it was something worth doing... most of us i'm sure have flavours we don't like but someone else might like it? blah blah blah

If it's allowed and anyone wants, then i'll post what flavours i have here:D

If you go to UKvapors you could get swaps or even sell them. If not, I'm sure it's perfectly fine to swap or give away in here. Why not?

On the Vamo, my original V2 that I bought around 5mths back is still going. It's a great device. I mean, it does more than an over priced provari for a fraction of the price! I have considered others, I also have a mech mod, the siegelei #19 which is cool. But I find it delivers much less power, maybe I need to get a kick for it? Since I now also have the itaste and a handful of ego batt's I'm well covered. It's more extras like tanks, rebuild spares, drip tips and juices I buy now. I'm good for batteries.

I would join in the swaps as have 50ml of trip hammer dark vapure that's not my cup of tea, possibly some gingerbread and peanut butter that needs a home as well :)

I have a few bottles here that I wasn't fond of too. Will have a root ;)

2 words: Wham, Refresher.

;)

wham is on the list.. cherry and vanilla, toying with refresher but also rhubarb and custard or tiger stripe, tho i have no clue on that:naughty: i'm going to need a mortgage

Just get 10ml bottles to try out.

The Wham is sweeter I'd say, with a lighter TH. Refresher at 24mg will knock yer socks off! :D I like both at 18mg

:lol::lol: well i was on 24 but i tried my sons green apple and that was only 8mg and it was fine, but i got myself 12's just incase as its a big drop, seems fruit ones to me seem stronger in flavour..

Got my fruit salad and spearmint today :)

Though i'm not as keen on the fruit salad as I thought I would be, the flavour seems a bit week to me but thats maybe due to using a strong menthol for the past week or so.

Adding a bit off spearmint to the mix maked it alot better.
