Just wondering what people's experience of e-bay is. Has EVERY experience been 100% good, with everything being completely as described, arriving on time, been paid for on time etc or have you had a problem of any sort with the transaction as either a buyer or seller? Or maybe. like me, you've never had any dealings with or through them.

Believe me nothing is perfect in every way... not even me :) So eBay has no chance!

Used it a lot - never had a problem.

Wouldn't say it was perfect in every way but what is.

i've had one issue, but that was resolved. never had anything disastrous go wrong with ebay transactions, both selling and buying.

The real problem with Ebay is that with them owning Paypal they have a stranglehold on the whole transaction process....

Had a few issues, like slower than advertised delivery times
ie Item advertised as in UK but clearly came from china or some other country is
the most annoying one ( or three)

The more "serious" issues I've had tended to be with their "sister" rip off pay pal

not perfect, but pretty much everything ive bought has been a bargain.
big power sellers , and being vey picky who i buy from helps.
only probs with late deliveries, and one from hong kong that sent me one item, instead of the two i ordered and payed for.
contacted them, and had second item in four days, and an apology.

Pretty much straightforward without problems - except ONE transaction from a guy in the US - goods never delivered. Put in dispute with Paypal, they were most unhelpful.

wheres the option for 'ebay has a ryanair style monopoly and likes to take the **** as much as it can because it either thinks we are stupid or knows we have no choice but to put up with it' ?

I have had a lot of dealings through eBay both buying and selling. I have had a few issues where goods weren't as described or not delivered and most of the time the sellers have been very helpful. I have had to get PayPal involved a couple of times and they got it sorted out for me. So I would say 95% of the time they were as good as perfect.

I used to use it massively, I collect and sell old movie posters, but, the amended T&C's and paypal only payments and a really poor experience about having to almosr re-register my paypal account, I havent used it in nearly 2 years. Shame as before that I sold and brought loads of stuff. I dont mind change, but they took it too far.

I ,have used it a fare bit to buy and sell. When buying you have to be sensible in using someone with lots of feedback or for items that you cant lose very much money.EBAy have changed the way the feedback system works,so now as a buyer it is good but as a seller you have no chance if the buyer decides that he/she doesnt like it for any reason
