Went and bought myself a studio lighting kit from ebay and it arrived yesterday but missing the carry case. I emailed them to say that it was missing and they said that they had now run out and would refund me £1.00. Now, does anyone know where I can get a carry case from to put a stand and umbrella in? Cos I can't find any for a pound!

I've emailed them back saying are they likely to get any more in stock as that was the reason I picked that one on ebay rather than one without a carry case!!
 
I would demand them to send you a case surely they should of given you more than a pound back.. I would return it to them if your not getting what advertised
 
I haven't yet said what my decision is to them as I'm waiting for them to email me back to say whether they are likely to send me a case or not. I thought £1 was a bit of a micky take though? Although I did only pay £60 for a stand, umbrella, flash, synch cables and holder so maybe proportionately £1 isn't all that bad. But without the carry case, how am I going to lug it around, not good enough to hire an assistant yet :lol::lol:
 
Well, my lightstand case didn't cost me a quid, it was more like £15, have a search through Fleabay and find a similar case and tell them you either want the case advertised or enough of a refund to buy one -I'll dig you out a link to the one I bought, if it helps.

Failing that it's time for a Paypal "not as described" claim....

The reason I chose that one is because it had the carry case and I need to be able to carry the kit along with my camera kit and background easily. Do you know when you are getting any more as there was no indication on the ebay advert or when it was dispatched that there was no case. I am happy to wait for you to send me another.

I've had a look through ebay and there are bags that are £17 but not sure if they are the right ones so if you have a link, that would be great.

I didn't really want to get as far as not as advertised - they have offered me a refund, even though it was £1 - what I am a bit narked about is that they sent it without a case and didn't tell me when they emailed me to say that it was on it's way that there was no case
 
Thanks FITP - they're the ones I found as well but wasn't sure if they were the right size. Don't really want to pay out more though if I was expecting one in the auction.

I'll see what they say
 
Just had an email, they're sending another one out in a couple of weeks :D
