i was thinking about a dye sub printer i know they can be expensive to run but i am after something better than my ink jet i don't have issues with ink jet but mine is causing problems with 6x4 paper (pulling through at funny angles ) and would like to get dye sub next but here is my question how big can i get a dye sub to print i would like A3+ but google isn't much help and i dont know what brands are available at those sizes i know 6x4 printers are available from most brands so any help would be great

As far as I know the largest Dye Sub printer was made by Kodak some years ago and took paper up to 8.5" x 12, so you could get an A4 with border. I don't think they are available any more. I suspect you may be limited to 6 x 4 nowadays

You can get Dye-Subs that will print quite large - check out Photomart.

The big question for me is WHY? Why do you want to print yourself when you can get the same (or better) quality for less money. Pros tend to use them when they want to print photos at events when the sale on the day is critical to the business model.

ooh aaarrgh ummmm ohhhhh i didnt realise they would be quite that much lol i think i have just fell back in love with inkjets lol
