It was a company called Rayner Photography.
At the field they had a small gazebo at the back of their car. Inside the gazebo was a table that had the 2 Mitsubishi printers (one was a 9810DW and there was a smaller printer as well) and the chap's Dell laptop. All being powered by a large portable battery unit.
They had photographers going round doing the T&I shots. These were being printed as the photographers came back to the car.
I didn't see anyone taking any action shots.
The presentations were being done in two age group blocks (which was good as the place wasn't choca.
One photographer taking team photos at the presentations. He had a substantial plinth to stand on. He would organise the teams then take two shots and give a thumbs up. All ran very smoothly. I imagine he must have had a runner for his cards.
The compère let everyone know that the photos could be viewed/bought in the main entertainment area afterwards.
They had a fab location outside Burger King & had the main guy (Mr Rayner I presume) showing/printing on request. One lady was (his wife I presume) was the main organiser for the selling of the photos & there were 5 others on hand as well.
Obviously selling the group shots for the day time as well. He was then doing montages of the individual photos with the group photos from the stage.
They were extremely busy al night as they had a massive rush as each presentation ended. That would start to wain as the next one started.
They had 2 small screen for viewing just showing a copy of what he was doing on the laptop. Very interesting to see him crop, adjust and send to the printers. I am sure his brain and right hand) from the mouse needed a good rest today...
The bit where it looked messy was on the tables where they had the group photos in plastic folders. It obviously works to have all these prep-printed but some sort display boards would have been nice. However they obviously have their own restrictions on area placed on them by Butlins.
I asked if I could pay the £10 for the jpeg & have it emailed rather than printed but they said no. I can understand why it could get messy for them. Much easier to choose, print, stuff in the mount, collect cash and hand over.
I'd rather have had the jpeg so that I could try and recover the burnt high-lights of my son's polo shirt and his forehead. A challenging photo as Jason McAteer was in a black suit with a white shirt & a dark tan. Then my son had a brand new bright white polo shirt and no tan. All against a very dark back ground. Photographer also chopped of half of his left arm (no literally of course).
