Just got mine again £10, not complaining apart from the fact I don't need it, I wonder how much is wasted going to pensioners like me,

Got my £10.00 yesterday, why did they not add it to the heating allowance I got a couple of weeks ago.

I don't really need it either so I will give it to my granddaughter.

I guess the argument is that means testing it would cost more than just giving it to every pensioner. But does seem ridiculous on the face of it when some people really don't need it.

Mine popped into my bank account yesterday. Speaking personally I'm glad to have it - it makes a nice wee present which, when converted to a nice little titbit to eat, will be MOST welcome .

Still not got my heating allowance in

Not had mine yet. I also don't need it but I'm sure it means a lot to some.

This. It would be nice if it could be distributed more fairly but it would cost way too much to implement.

Oh, and it's not just pensioners who get it. ;)

Never refuse a gift horse in the mouth, that's my moto anyway. Got it yesterday.

I would normally put mine over the counter in the pub for a couple of pints.

I suppose I'd better put it towards a bottle of rum this year:rolleyes:.

I know :) But Mike mentioned pensioners in his post is all :)

I am the very grateful recipient of my 85yr old mum's heating allowance every year which buys me 2months of heating with bottled gas.
