Dust on sensor already? :(

I recently bought a Sony A33 around two months ago and today when shooting in high aperture noticed a few specks on every photo :(

I have attempted to blow clean the sensor 10+ times now with a hand blower but nothing has changed (it actually looks like it has worsened). Strange thing is I haven't changed the lens once nor have I been in a dusty environment. My previous camera went for over a year before it got a single bit of dust on the sensor.

So should I bring this to a camera shop? I remember with my last camera I was quoted £30 for a sensor clean :shake:. I also just read that rocket blowers (the one I have) may blow bits of plastic into the sensor? I think more bits of dust has shown up since I started blowing it.

Very stressed out about this as now I am noticing them on fairly low apertures. Any help would be appreciated.

Here's an example of what I mean (click to maximise)

I'm havign similar problems with mine, just wish my local camera shop quoted £30 rather than £70 and I would of had it done straight away, i'm now considering doing it myself. Good luck

Here is a useful piece on cleaning the sensor LINK, I have done mine in the past using the Eclipse2 and swabs method, not at all difficult, just a bit of care and patience required.

they look pretty minimal to me, although it's hard to judge based on the crop. a few specks of dust on the sensor is something we all have to live with i'm afraid.

I had some dust spots on my D80 sensor a friend cleaned them off with a lenspen sensorklear. Might be worth trying this before taking it into a shop for cleaning.

You can drive yourself nuts worrying about sensor dust. Cleaning is certainly something you'll need to do from time to time, so you may as well get used to doing it yourself, but don't get paranopid - a few dust spots are inevitable and it's easy to touch them out in editing.

It certainly looks grubby for a camera that has never had its lens changed. Do you think it could have been like that from the start? Two things though...do you shoot at f16 often? Try testing at f11 or something more realistic (f16 is generally not advised on high megapixel cameras due to softening from diffraction).

thats not dirty.. i used to have a pic of my 20D sensor before i cleaned it once that would blow your mind

unless your camera is air tight and has been since it left the factory it'll never be dust free.

when using a blower invert your camera so the lens mount is pointing downward, also give the blower a few puffs before you use it to clear any dust that may have accumulated on the nozzle/in the bellows.
