Dust inside lens

Hi everyone,

I know this topic has been discussed many times, but I just want to check because I've read a lot of different opinions about this.

I purchased a used Nikon 18-70 lens from eBay for around £80 because I heard so many good things about that lens. However, there are a few dust particles inside the lens (behind the glass).

I'm just wondering, will this be a problem or is it okay? The majority of the lenses I have purchased (even new ones) have had a few dust particles in them. I'm just not sure if I'm not seeing them in my photos because they're not there or I'm not looking in the right places.

Many thanks
John.

Mostly it won’t be an issue but when there is more exposure, like day light shooting, sometimes the dust will reflect on the pics.

You will not see them in images if they are in the lens.. Someone will post that link up soon of that battered lens with a smashed front element and still taking perfectly good photos.

Nice one, I can never remember the link, should save it in my bookmarks!
