Hi all,

I've noticed that there is dust inside my lens - on the glass inside the camera (the bit that stays still when I zoom).

Is it possible to get rid of this by myself or is it professional clean only job.

Thanks

I wouldn't worry about it. it won't show up on your images.

a) Yes, in theory. Eg Canon 17-55 2.8 is easy (google DIY guide).

b) As Wilko says, don't worry about it. It's more annoying than anything else. Has to be really bad to make any visible difference.

You can, but it normally involves a service at a cost! I wouldn't really bother.

Even if you strip it down (or pay to get it serviced) the very nature of how a zoom lens works means it'll be full of dust again in no time at all. As everyone else says, don't worry about it.

Cheers, feel a bit bette now!
