as alexkidd will know living in hull we are about ten years behind and the best i have known any one get in this town is a max speed of 5 MB :thinking:

and thats about 4 o clock in the morning :thinking:

oh and by the way we can only use one ISP at the moment as it is the only city in the uk and i think europe that has it's own dedicated ISP which is aload of ******

5 and 2 gig - wow you lot live somewhere special, rest of country seem to be measured in MB :)
 
here in Guernsey we get 2 mb also but even better when going mobile you get 3 mb. ha ha ha

stopped using irc 15 yrs ago.. do they still have wars and raiding parties taking over channels? oh the fun and wasted hrs/days :)

No, its mainly zombiefied PC's now all exchanging command and control messages with botherders on their way to taking out some website or facebook/warcraft/xbox live user or something.

Still, its nice to know someone still finds a use for it in the Web 2.0 world we live in.

I've often considered irc to be a childish side to the internet, it would appear i've been right about something all along.
