):concrete things like cows

No change there then![]()

us ruggedly handsome and rougeishly charming action heroes have to live life on the edge from time to timewithout the frission that comes from spitting in the eye of danger and tweaking the nose of terror we'd be mired in mediocrity bshing the pink snake for no particular reason
(and also i've been drinking.. I realise you can't possibly tell
)
Oh I didnt realise you were from Milton Keynes as well![]()

Thanks for the vote of confidenceAlthough there's often method in your madness . . . well hidden, yes, but I'm sure it's in there somewhere![]()
There are just so many innuendo's in there waiting to get outThose concrete cows just add a bit of variety and a change of scenery from all the fluffy sheep that we normally get around here.
btw, a new power, not the new?

Um - he only asked that question three years ago , do try to keep up![]()
Your payment is due on the 3rd of the month.
Your babies are due on 24th September... (lot of truth in that one for me!)
Due = something expected to happen on that day / needs to happen on that day... etc

I'm just surprised you haven't opened the door and set them free !!!My next word is within![]()
I suppose my next word will be jaffa cakes:bonk:"I looked through the staffroom window and saw the mods within eating jaffa cakes"
bon appetit!,Or "Without pics this thread is pointless". An oft seen comment. Not this thread obviously, thats within it's remit not to have pics.
Better go, I'm due a coffee break.

Shooting is only allowed within the red enclosure.
All the jaffa cakes within a five mile radius
If to assume the center within UK the radius is much larger than five miles, because here, in Moscow, we don't have any jaffa cakesCobra ate all the jaffacakes within a five mile radius - it means that if you travelled five miles in any direction from here - you would not find a jaffa cake - as they have all been eaten by Cobra
'If we assume' , or 'if we were to assume' , or 'if you were to' etc not "if to assume"
'If to assume...' is not possible at all?
In Russian language it sounds great![]()
Possible and you will be understood but it sounds awkward.'If to assume...' is not possible at all?

Assuming center is in UK, the radius is much larger than five miles.

I would use present continuous form of this word so your sentence sounds better like that (imho of course):
The closest translation of the Russian variant that I am guessing you were thinking of "Если предположить ..." will be "If one to assume ...".
Просто не пытайтесь переводить буквально и по словам - лучше целыми фразами по смыслу, будет немного легче![]()
Thank you, Alexey
What do you do there, in UK?
To set free from an obligation or the consequences of guilt.
To remit (a sin) by absolution, as would a Priest in a confessional.
To pronounce clear of guilt or blame.
To relieve of a requirement or obligation.
Its more definite than forgiveness.
You can forgive someone for an action, but never completely forget about it.
But to absolve someone, would be total forgiveness.
If you understand what I am trying to say?
but if I understood correctly to absolve means just official forgiveness,
, which could be wrong because evidences are insufficient or absent.
That would be slightly different in law.
Someone can be found not guilty, due to insufficient evidence,
but they would not be absolved,
ie there would still be a slight (or minor) suspicion that they may be guilty.
I thought it is impossible, to arrest someone, if police doesn't have any evidences, but your words make me feel that a situation in UK the same as in Russia![]()
