DSLR Settings website

I read a thread last week that recommended a website that had a flash tool which let you play with the basic settings of a camera and take a shot.. it would then show the resulting photo from the settings you chose.

I just want to get to grips with the basics before my first DSLR arrives and it's driving me mad trying to find the thread that had the link for this website.

Does anyone have a link? Thanks.
