I was wondering if you could provide some advice. I have recently taken up photography as a hobbie and my interested has quickly grown.
I am using a Nikon 1 J1 and it's great, but after trying to do more technical studio type stuff and also after watching training DVD's and youtube videos I want to try some new stuff with a DSLR which will give me more room to expand.
I have been looking at the Nikon D3200 as an entry level camera and so far it looks ok but I have a small list of preferable features that I am not sure are included:
1) I would like to be able to use a flash trigger, I have seen this on some cameras as being a port in the front where by cable you can add an electronic trigger that is activated by remote, breaking a beam or on a timer.
2) I would like to be able to tether it somehow to a PC, I know for this camera you can get a wireless adapter but if possible it would be good to connect by cable to a PC and adjust the aperture, shutter speed etc from the computer.
3) In general I would like something with all the necessary ports but even when watching video reviews etc. I am not sure they explain in enough detail when they believe something is missing so it would be good if you could recommend anything that would be beneficial.
Any tips or answers you can provide would be greatly appreciated, my interest has grown quite quickly and have already done lots of different shots including time-lapse, chromakey, light painting and I have a cheap setup of studio lighting and a couple of backdrops also.
