Hi,
So i'm looking to get into photography and so need eeeeeeeeeeverything.

I was looking at the Canon EOS 600D, would this be a decent start for my interest? I'm just going to be using it for 'normal' use i.e of family, cars, bikes, potentially some surroundings/scenery and whatnot, not likely to go out bird watching and needing to zoom in from a mile away though...

So, is the Canon EOS 600D sufficient/overkill? Should I be looking at other models? I'm pretty good with technology and picking things up, just dont want to waste my money! I'd rather get something thats above and beyond my CURRENT requirements than something basic that I'll 'outgrow'

thanks in advance

depend whats the ultimate goal of buying a camera. If is just a normal/general use like shooting family, kids etc then it will do the job fine for you.

If your ultimate goal is to learn more about photography and dig deep into it, you will soon outgrown the camera very fast.

Hi Colin, welcome to TP.

There are a number of cameras to choose from. You really need to get into a local camera store and handle some to make sure which ever you choose feels comfortable for you within your budget.
