DSLR Controller software

I've been looking for a DSLR controller software for my Nikon D800E. I am currently using one which is called Smart Shooter but I am not completely satisfied with it since it has some bugs as well as doesn't provide any facility to do basic editing immediately after taking a shot. It's just a plain DSLR controller.

So I wonder if anyone knows any better software that can do both camera control as well as basic editing job?

Please advise.

digicamcontrol , works really well on PC and is free. remote control from laptop with live view and loads of other functions.

Lightroom, but the control is mostly one way, other than to use the shutter release to fire remotely.

Hello Russell - I never heard of this Software before to be fair. Is it the Adobe lightroom you are indicating?
