Hi
Does anyone have first hand experience of using this with Canon cameras a Galaxy S2 or a Motorola Xoom.
I am thinking of it as it seems it might give me a larger and easier focusing area than using live view and a TS-E lens

Cheers

Go on the Google Play Store on your device, go to the page for the app, scroll down past the three reviews it will show and press "see all". On the page that comes up press the "options" button and select "From this device model only".
That'll show you all the reviews from people using the app on the device you're using so you can see if anyone has reported any problems with the app on your device.

For this specific app there's actually a website with a device compatibility page which is here. Read it yourself before buying but it looks like the S2 may or may not work without rooting it while the Xoom should work without root as long as it's running Android 3.2 or higher.
It also lists the 5D Mark II as fully supported by the app.

There's also a thread on another forum here and you can use the search this thread box to look for posts about the devices you want to check - though bear in mind that you might find out of date information there about things that have been fixed in updates.

I got this for my S2 - only problem for me was that it wouldn't achieve focus if the camera had back button focussing enabled - as I always do - bummer cos it looked really useful otherwise, installed easily, OTG usb cable was £1.99 on ebay - just no go with BBF.

PS it worked fine with a non rooted Samsung S2
