DSLR Boot Camp

think im going to do this too!
 
I've just subscribed to the magazine for 6 months including the course. I had an email to confirm the DD and it stated that the first issue i will recieve will be on the 20/04, the May issue. Looks like i'll have to pick up the April issue from a shop to start the course, can't moan at a tenner for the next 6 issues though.
 
Yeah i got that too, did it through the TCB website, so hopefully saved £6.06 too! though i havent had confirmation of that yet... :)
 
Ive just joined the flickr group and i'm going to pick up the mag when its out. I'm loking forward to getting stuck into the course, whats the first assignment?
 
First lesson is an introduction to metering and exposure, and the project is still life.
 
Magazine is out today, i picked it up earlier.

Better start my homework ;)
 
Just got my first email through for the course which contains two video's. One is the lesson video and one is a video with tips for the project.
 
iv also recived my email :) need to go buy the mag still but cant get out yet has i hjave 2 poorly boys :(

can anyone tell me when the lastest you have to upload your first pic? thanks x

Hi Hayley,

The first 'homework' is due before the 13th April so plenty of time yet. I hope your boys get well soon!
 
Does anyone know which Flickr group we are supposed to use - there seems to be a 2010 and a 2011 one, both with recent shots added!

Also I've never done anything like this before - what do you recommend for white / black backgrounds - would card / paper be good enough?
 
I'm confused, we now have two flickr groups, the one above & this one that Andy started http://www.flickr.com/groups/dslrbootcamp2011/
we also have two different posts, one here & one on the competitions section, would it not be better to combine both posts?

I have just seen another bootcamp post in the 'Basics' section also
