DSLR Boot Camp Thread: discussion and posting

Has anyone had an email for module 3 yet ? ,:shrug: as recieved the mag last week .
Hope they give us lots of good info .:thumbs:
 
Confused!! Has anyone had chance to look at the critique videos yet? From the brief I understood that the aim was for maximum contrast, getting white backgound white or black background black. The majority of the photos used for critique didn't fit the brief. For example "using natural light". The example of the car for instance, they said that the tog should have used an extra light to the right.

Is it just me that thinks that maybe the PP team didn't read the brief either.:thinking::shrug:
 
Haven't recieved my magazine yet, postie must be reading it first! Seen the homework task on Flickr though.

Seems to be lost in the post they said, extended my subscription for an extra month and I bought mag in shop. It was either that or wait 10 working days for another copy to be sent out.

You do need to watch Great Magazines as I have had several subscriptions with them for different magazines, and I have had odd ones go missing.
 
I got the mag around the same time as Hillwalkinggirl, but never got the usual email.

I've just found this free book download. I haven't read through it all yet but there does seem to be lots of very useful information here.

Does anyone know the closing date for the Bootcamp 2011 Final Project? I cant find me mag or find it on their website :thinking:

Enries must be uploaded by 5pm on Tuesday 6th September.

Module 6 deadline was 31st August. Missed that, but decided after the 1st module that I'd just do each module and only upload for the final project.
 
Just a quick reminder, get that final project photo uploaded by 5pm tomorrow.
 
Signed up and received email.
I renewed sub for another 6 months, got a very good deal, but haven't received this month's addition yet.

The first assignment is to photograph a textured surface.
