All websites are down for maintenence :shrug:

Seems a little strange for such a big group to go 'offline' while maintenence is carried out

All of DSG's sites aren't down.

Have a look at vista group which also comes under DSG.
 
Very odd to do it at this time of the day, i thought these things were usually done late at night, im sure its nothing to worry about though
 
There are also reports of the phone lines being down, but i cannot check that as i cannot dial 08 numbers from work.

The sites been down since at least early morning,I tried about 7am :shrug:
 
Perhaps they bought their webservers in Dixons and have been on the phone to technical support since this morning trying to find someone who knows something about computers??
 
They mentioned when I spoke to them earlier this week that they have been having loads of web problems all week.
 
I recd this this afternoon via my Tradedoubler acc.

" The PC World site is still going through the period of scheduled maintenance.

This was originally set for Sunday evening from 23:59 until 05:45 this morning. However the sites are still down. As soon as we know any more we will inform you.

During this period any visitors will see a temporary holding page.

PC World would like to apologise for the inconvenience this is causing and are doing everything in their power to correct it straight away.

Darned awful websites they had anyway, vert untiu..unitinto..untintin..hard to get around!
 
Last time they did a big upgrade they took out the hosting centre with a fault, and our servers were at the same place (telford)!!!! and to compound the issue the hosting centre switch over mechanism to the secodary site (newport) failed.
