I have just received some prints back from DS Colour Labs and am very pleased with them. I have in the past used Boots, ASDA etc but not again. They make my average photos look superb

They are great, just a shame they charge for collection! I would use them a lot more if they removed the collection charge.

they're pretty decent i use them for all my prints. I've had panoramic prints from them at 36x12 and the quality is great.
I'll be honest though i bought a couple of they're fine art prints a few months back, just 3 or 4 and they werent much cop.
I usually get the lustre finish as looks good framed and no glare.

I use them all the time. Tried the pearl prints yet? That's really nice paper, expensive but good, it's got depth to it.

I've used it twice. Both times for final assignments. One was car images, in the dark, so they really suited the subject, the last were b&w images taken in the tube. I tried lustre and pearl and the pearl were street ahead in depth and quality.

Usually I just use lustre.

If you do - don't use their 'pearl' profile. I'd rather order the pearly fine art paper instead even if it costs a lot more. The thin and poorly coloured Fuji C-types (speaking in general) are clearly inferior to inkjet, just as film is to digital

I always use lustre, but have been meaning to give pearl a go

I use lustre too, can't fault them. I had one print done in pearl, didnt like it at all compared to the same print done at the same time in lustre.I do think it as more to do with the subject though. My image was a portrait of a dog, West highland terrier (white coat/fur).

Always use DSC for prints, I had an acrylic done a couple of weeks ago by them and it blows me away when ever i look at it, Is a shame about the collection charge though and think they should drop it.

I'm a big fan of the guys at DS. I must have made hundreds and hundreds of orders with them in the last couple of years and not once have they screwed it up. Delivery is solid and predictable.

The quality is good and the price rocks, too. What more can you ask for?

Hi folks,
Probably a daft question, but are the printers in the shop in didsbury the same as the ones used when ordering online. I was over there this week and got 3 prints, of which 2 were of my son from the self service machine (not an instant print hobby). Not impressed, they looked out of focus. I thought it was the photo but rechecked and printed them again this morning from boots. The difference is night and day - they actually look like they're in focus! Bit odd really.
