Recently ordered a canvas from DSCL after a few reviews on here were favourable

No problems with ordering or delivery

Big problem with the canvas in that the subject (a shipwreck) had strayed onto the part that wraps around the side despite me being careful to line it up on their web designer to ensure this didn't happen. Furthermore the colour rendition ( when compared to a canvas from another) was not very accurate.

I contacted them to arrange return and was shocked when they told me to mark it 'Return to Sender' so it was free to send back. I refused as the item had been delivered correctly and clearly did not qualify for return in this way which would defraud the Royal Mail.

They offered to have another go at it but to be honest I wasn't impressed with the quality or their operating practice re returns

I returned the canvas at my expense of £8 requesting a refund for this as the return was down to their error but heard nothing.

I have today been refunded only for the price of the canvas and NOT the return postage I requested.

Make your own minds up but I won't be using them again :shake:

Doesn't surprise me, after my experience and hearing others, they're perfectly fine till something goes wrong then most of the time their customer service just fails.

Out of curiosity, what was their attitude like during your correspondence with them? It was mainly their attitude that made me resent them and I spied a post on another thread who agreed with me that their attitude was rude / poor.

Slow to reply then eventually didnt and not exactly falling over themselves to provide a friendly and customer orientated service

It's a shame they act this way, it seems like you got off lightly, they were almost insulting when I was trying to resolve an order that had gone missing in the post.

Hmmm not just me then?
I ordered some motocross prints recently and was surprised how bad they where when they came back. The images I uploaded were bang on for printing but came back totally blown. Also some of the images I used their previewer to resize, these came back with half the heads cut off lol....

We have been using DS for around 3 years now and I must say they are one of the best suppliers we have worked with in the last 20 years. We order products from prints to acrylic and 99% they are bang on. Any issues we have had have been resolved quickly.

Did you sign up just to defend supplier now that bad experiences are coming out of the woodwork?

Just saying, signing up to defend DSCL on a thread where people have shared bad experiences seems a wee bit suspicious.

If I'm wrong, I apologise and would like to welcome you to the forum.

If I'm right with my suspicions, hello DSCL, sort your act out and address these issues directly instead of trying to hide behind alias' and fake reviews.

I have to agree... This wouldn't be the first place I'd post my first reply once joining.

Stuff goes wrong from time to time, our pro lab isn't perfect either... But they do sort things out. And hopefully DSCL will see this and sort themselves out too... Saying that, we're all able to have a little moan when stuff isn't going well but we're not as quick to share the good experiences we have most of the time, of which I'm sure DSCL have happy customers too.
