I've mentioned these guys before when I placed my 1st order with them... just to say I've just received another 13, 18x12 inch Luster prints & they are all excellent quality, flat packed too & delivered within 3 days.

Total cost = £16.36

Well worth giving them a try !!

thing I really like about them is the fact they give you the printer profile. Takes all the guesswork out of it unlike photobox which you have to calibrate by eye.

Shifted into suppliers ;)

So good you mention it twice

Exactly,
with companies like Photobox charging 6 times the price for an 18x12 which isn't as good quality or packaged as well I'm more than happy to highlight a better alternative

BTW, I don't have any association whatsoever with DSCL, other than being a very content customer !!

If it's good it's worth it. Far too often the good service doesn't get recognised.

Couldn't agree more, there are far more posts on here knocking the shody service given by photobox than there are praising other companies for supplying a better standard of service. I might send my holiday shots to these guys when I get back and see if i'm happier with their ouput than i am with photobox!

I used them last week, the quality is amazing, and the price even better! The Lustre paper that the use is very high quality. Just about to place another order with them :)

I just put a set of 9x6" test prints through these guys, they all had a green cast :(

The 10 10"*8" prints I ordered from DSCL are just spot on:)

Annoyingly their software doesn't work in firefox and when I fire up IE to use that I can get as far as choosing a location on my hd from my prints but it won't go any further than that:bang: Anybody else having this problem?

Yep, doesn't work under Linux/*nix either. The Windows version requires IE and the Mac version crashes FF under *nix :bang: :bang: :bang:

I was going to give them ago since they've been recommended here but they obviously don't want my business so it's their loss - using snail mail for digital data is so 20th century.

Oh, and their security certificate is invalid, or, more precisely, can't be validated as it's not signed by a recognized authority - kind of defeats the object don't you think?

Just a quick thumbs up from me. Ordered Monday night and a bunch of 18x12s turned up this morning. Quality is excellent. So good I've just placed another order for a load more.

Not being able to use firefox was a pain. But I've dug out IE and it's working fine. Ian H, I suspect it's because you didn't have flash player loaded for IE - at least that's a problem that I had.

I would prefer to use Firefox or FTP to do this sort of thing, but it was worth the effort as the prints look great.

Rather than start a new thread, I thought I'd search and then post. :)

I have recently calibrated my monitor as I've had several requests for various prints to be made. I thought I'd try DSCL due to the user experience I have read about (here and in the Talk Business sub-forum). I chose to have all 28 of my prints on the Fuji Pearl paper - these consisted of 8x6's and 12x8's.

I downloaded the correct paper profile from their website and converted all my shots to this profile using Photoshop CS3. I uploaded the pictures and placed the order at 14:22 yesterday and received a confirmation mail. I received a further mail at 16:51 to say that the images had been dispatched. I paid for Special Delivery and the photo's arrived around mid-day today.

All of the prints are absolutely spot-on, the colours matching what I see on my monitor. The new paper has a high-quality feel to it and is excellent value for money in my eyes.

I know this is a long(ish) post, but I couldn't be happier with the experience and wholeheartedly recommend them.

Steve :)
