weekly DRounding's 52 for 2016 - Dangerous and Abandoned

Camouflaged ... nice work Duncan. Whilst unsure of the ampersand relevance, nice result : perfect choice of BG, blends beautifully.

Hi Duncan. Good catch up - keep going. Like the idea behind Camouflage and the pp work that went into creating it. I like the unusual use of the ampersand shape. Miniature is fine too but probably needs a contrast to emphasise it's size.

Hi Duncan. Hmmm! can understand being torn between the two images for Dangerous; I think my preference is #2 - it has more points of interest and colour, certainly the graffiti adds to the danger by obscuring the warnings. Yes, #2. As for Abandoned - I actually prefer the b&w as it subdues the grass which tends to deflect the eye away from the subject in the colour version ... imo.

Hi Duncan... I think a bit more explanation behind the & for camouflage would help! But some good processing / effects and a lovely picture to use as a base.

The barbed wire is a good, straightforward image. Whilst it doesn't shout particularly high levels of danger as a single strand, it's close enough to theme for me :)

The composite was made from two pictures, the portrait and a picture of a wall hanging picture of an ampersand on a rough textured background. I liked the idea of combining the two and creating the final image as partly obscured or camouflaged. The ampersand itself refers to the background & the portrait being blended or 'anded' together.

Duncan Hi, The barbed wire for dangerous, regarding the Abandoned image the B&W image has more grittiness to it and feels more realistic.

Camo - nice idea just think that the BG and "&" sign are too contrasting for the theme

Miniature - Nice idea - simply executed

Dangerous - although im sure the second is "More Dangerous" I prefer the barbed wire - nice DoF and like the angle of the wire across the frame

Abandoned - First off I just fail to see why people do this but thats another thread - prefer the colur version - good interpretation :)

Camouflage - a different Idea
Miniature - I like the use of a magnifying lens
Dangerous - good choices I like the simplicity of the barbed wire but the second is probably more dangerous
Abandoned - what a sad sight struggled to have a preference but I think the b/w maybe is just a bit sadder for the lake of colour

Really like the simplicity of the barbed wire shot for dangerous , nice DOF

Prefer the B&W version of abandoned purely because I find the grass a bit distracting
