Hiya Dawn, is it a glass tobacco pipe? It's a lovely photo, liking the composition and the colour of the object.
its bugging me now! I have this feeling I should know what it is...
sorry What a time of day to be racking my brains! One more before I go to bed, a chemical flask......
drodd said:Hiya,
So here we are at week 21, getting closer to the halfway mark. What fun this has been so far and such a learning experience too. Thank you everyone for all your valuable contributions to my learning by providing constructive c&c, all of which is very encouraging.
Last night I took a photo of an object in my house and was intending to do a re-shoot of same, but was going to put it off until another day. However, when I saw the new theme earlier tonight, I couldn't believe how what I photographed last night fit the theme, so the re-shoot happened sooner than I had planned.
Anyway, I am not going to tell you what it is, but see if anyone can guess, so on that note I present week 21:
Twisted

This week no border added, for a change.
Any thoughts, comments, suggestions etc will be much appreciated.
Thanks for looking
Cheers

It works well without a border owing to the background. I really like the colouring and lighting . Now for the guessing game, is it a heating element of some sort ?
)It's certainly twistedAt first I thought it was a honey thingy, but the blob on the end is wrong, looks like glass so I thought a twisted fluorescent bulb, but the blob again, and to know it is metal...
Anyhoo, as a piece of interesting art it is a hitI like the processing and the result, so well done - again!

Like the shot Dawn , good VP and composition, pping really sets it off,
its a spring
I have a feeling Ive seen these before in common use but cant think what it is, I thought of a drink stirrer or piece of jewellery, will be looking forward to seeing who guesses it right and what it is
I am certainly enjoying this! It's quite fun
Is it part of a wind chime?
Is it the end stop (finial) of a chic looking curtain pole ? I only thought that from one of the other views on your flickr
is it for turning syrup or other similarly sticky substances![]()
Part of your bed frame!![]()
Love the colour Dawn
I hope you have a full image of what ever it is, and in use!
As for my guess, I was going to say something to do with Chemistry, but your curtain pole 'warmer' comment rules that out.
So, is it one of those things on the wall for the curtain tie back rope bit thingy, or is it a handle of some sort?
Hiya Kev,
you learn quickly I see
![]()
is it a fire poker![]()
I KNOW!!!>.. its a teasing stick for use in the african savanah, designed specifically for honey badgers...

now..less of the lip and admit its something to do with HB's
Hi Dawn,
Great shot, and composition. I like the angle, and the lighting.
I would have preferred a simple white line stroke border, but then again, I'm a sucker for borders
As for what it is..... um, at first I thought it was something along the lines of this....
NSFW - Toy
But then again I do have a twisted mind, that normally lives in the gutter
Or one of these
Drinky drinky
But as for a sensible guess.... er no idea......
Rgds
Adie
)
. The second guess is not it either. But a good try.The OH says it's a toilet brush handle from Next!
toilet flush handle
toilet roll holder

)

Funky towel rail?
Great pic btw.
I wondered what HBs are![]()

Hopefully the prize has not been won while I've been out doing my 'Twisted', as my other idea would have been like Adie, a toilet roll holder, but not the one on the wall, the one on the floor for holding the spares!
Well done Adie
So thats what its for Ive been poking the fire with ours
Great fun Dawn nice certificate
Dave, hey if it works to stoke the fire, why not Well done Adie, my entry (although more accurate!) must have been late
My inlaws have the same one!
