Guy who works with us is French and is a UK Resident, but drives here quite legally on a French license. That is his only driving licence EEA approved similar to our ones but issued in France.

He has a UK registered company car.

Should he receive any endorsements here for anything, would that be processed the same as a UK one, as I believe in France differing penalties for the same offence etc...

As a French national living here, he has 2 years to obtain a UK driving license. After that, as a resident he will be driving illegally on his French license.
Sorry, I'm not entirely sure regarding the penalties, so will refrain from adding.

I actually checked this on .gov website...

It's 3 yrs or until 70 whichever is longer...
