Hello! I thought I'd share some of the cool creative photo entries entered into G-Technology's Driven Creativity Competition:

1) 'Empty Underground' by J Collingridge : http://www.g-technology.eu/competition/node/174

Here the photographer captures the usual drones of the London Underground in a different perceptive, showing the fantastic architecture. The photographer used a Canon Tilt Shift lens by shifting and rotating the lens 360 degrees, taking 14 images and giving a very large 360mb stitched image, processing using dodge and burn tools just like in the traditional darkroom.

2) 'Kissed the Canvas' by madamefoto: http://www.g-technology.eu/competition/node/232

This is one image from a photo series of twelve inspired by boxers from the 1920’s. This photograph embodies the theme of menacing masculinity. The photographer shot the photograph in an early 18th century house where all the interior has being conserved in its original condition to create a vintage feel.

3) 'Pensioners by the Seawall' by Simon Hanna http://www.g-technology.eu/competition/node/239

Most of this photographer's personal projects take him to the sea. Mainly to escape and marvel at the huge skies on offer, and to gaze at the horizon. He is fascinated by the Brits on holiday, especially in the traditional Victorian seaside resorts.

The comp is open to aspiring & pro photographers (and filmmakers & musicians) in the UK, France & Germany and entry closes end of September 2010.

If you came here to pimp your (or your clients) competition, least you could do is provide a link to the competition terms and conditions, as you'll find most people on here are very sensitive to "rights grab" pseudo-competitions...

I've reported this thread :) best to let the Admin staff decide if this is in the best intrests of the forum and its members

G-Technology by Hitachi’s license shall be royalty free and shall not require prior permission to reproduce, post or publish any work submitted in connection with promoting The Driven Creativity Awards from G-Technology by Hitachi, within a period of 18 months from the date of the opening of the competition. Should G-Technology by Hitachi desire any additional usage of an entry beyond this copyright license, such usage rights will be negotiated with the author independently of the competition. These rules prevail over and supercede the section entitled Intellectual Property Rights User Content in the Terms of Use on Sponsor’s website.

sup to you folks, steph posted the link then thought to ask, nearly right..

I just don't like these postings from PR companies, pretending to be just a regular member. If they did things the right way, by

1) contacting the owners of the forum first before posting
2) make a donation to the cause for advertising their competition on here
3) make the terms and conditions transparent without prompting

then personally I'd be less inclined to be suspicious of what they're going to do with all the entries for this competition over the course of 18 months - that's an awful lot of usage - and could involve an awful lot of "media partners"
