Anyone had any weird experiences with these guys?

To cut a long story short, I ordered a new 1TB SSD for the iMac last saturday, the company emailed to say it was despatched on Monday, I thought nothing of it as you do. I woke up this morning thinking hang on, I still haven't had any sign of the SSD, asked the Mrs if she remembered seeing a van on the drive as shes on maternity leave so there is someone in all the time. No news, no sign, I checked the email and found a tracking number of which the info is a bit odd - signed for on Tuesday by a 'POSTED', well that's odd, My name is Dave! I've just emailed the retailer to ask DPD what on earth has happened whether some little cretin in my village is using my new SSD or whether DPD have actually not bothered to post the consignment.
End of rant :D

I believe I'm not the only one caught up with DPD after looking at the Google results!
 
YI ordered some computer stuff and patiently waited for DPD....the instruction was to leave in the main office......I was down the yard at the time he arrived and I watched him get out, open the rear doors lift my parcel, scan it and put it back in the van......I jumped in the car and blocked his exit at the bottom of the lane.I for out and asked him for the parcel and he said that there was no one in the office (there were 2 office staff in the office and one of the stable hands had approached him so that he could sign on my behalf ).....I told him this and told him that I saw him put it back in the van.....he just thrust the parcel at me and jumped back in the van and waited in silence until I moved.....the parcel was damaged......I rang company they dispatched a new item and the second guy rang me when he was five minutes away so that I was there to sign for it.....

DPD (and interlink as they're the same company ) are excellent compared to all the others.

Live tracking on a map and a guaranteed 1hr delivery slot. Email and text message updates.

you'll always find negative things online even about excellent companies. Nobody ever goes online to post a good review.
 
I find DPD to be very good. As with all companies, i`m sure they have failures mixed in with the success.
 
Likewise I've found them and intercity express to be excellent!
 
I've had a number of items collected from me by DPD with no problems. Always arrive when they say too.

I get delivery's daily from DPD and never a problem, there tracking system is one of the best out there giving you a 1 hour delivery slot, which they have only ever missed once, after their van broke down, it was still delivered that day by a replacement van and driver.
 
We've had a fair bit delivered by them and can't fault them. They give an accurate delivery slot and are usually here a few minutes into the slot. We're often likely to be out when they deliver so we leave the key in the meter cupboard for them to leave the delivery out of sight and they drop the key through the letter box. They even send us an e-mail with a photo of the delivered parcel.
 
Well, after looking around the house and calling people in the village, we found the parcel, it was thrown in the garden next door, soaked and battered :(

Luckily the SSD was sealed and undamaged as you would expect due to being in water tight packaging!
