This seems to be happening all the time, especially with confectionery but I was most surprised at the reduction in size of one of my favourite chocolate biscuits :bat:
Having said that there is one chocolate biscuit that in my opinion has never been reduced in size, and that is the classic old Kit Kat.

I always remebered mars bars as being massive when I was little, now they appear to be tiny. Guess this is another brand that has shrunk then.

The whole thing is a scandal IMO, cost more than ever and are smaller than ever.

Don't get me going about Mars Bars, they now look more like the size of the original Milky Way !!.

Have you also noticed that as well as making chocolate bars smaller they have changed the shape of the squares so there is more space between them!!

You were little and they were big but now you are big AND .........

I noticed recently that Fairy Liquid is in a bottle redesigned so it's 450ml but looks the same sort of size as the old 500ml one.

Is funny how the size of cars is going the other way, the new VW polo is bigger than the original Golf, madness.

I've noticed that too, speaking as a chocoholic! It seems to be like that with most makes of confectionery.
Of course, it MIGHT well be because of our mouths and stomachs getting bigger the older we grow, but I'm sure we are being short measured by all those chocolate manufacturers.
The other thing I wanna get off my chest is the bright spark who introduced heat-sealed wrapping (where the ends are sealed together). It's now impossible to open the wrapper without completely destroying the contents. Flake and Aero are the worst, you can't break the wrapper unless you have strong teeth or you have a pair of scissors handy.

There are other things that go down in size as you get older.......... not that I have noticed :naughty:

When'll there be a VW Penguin or Spangle?

Or the original shrinking sweetshop favourites: the Wagon Wheel and Curly Wurly?

I was surprised at how small 'Club' biscuits were the last time I had one. They used to have really thick chocolate on them.... not anymore :(

AND they used to have chocolate on them in the good old days:thumbs:

Another thing I noticed recently, cereal packets are different sizes in different supermarkets, I picked up a box which was cheaper than a rival then when I got it home it was 50g smaller despite being the same design, it wasn't until I put the new one next to the old one I noticed.

I bet they do it all the time when the special offers are on
